Hengpaitou scenic spot is located in sujiabu, 20km south of Lu'an City, Anhui Province. It is the backbone node of the circular chain structure of the West Anhui tourist area. It is a suburban scenic spot characterized by hydrological landscape, relying on landscape scenery and integrating leisure, sightseeing and vacation.

The scenic spot is bounded by the East Bank of Pi River extending 200 meters to the East, the two estuaries at the confluence of East and West Pi River in the south, Dushan town in the West and Subu town in the north, with a total planning area of 60 square kilometers.

On December 7, 2017, Anhui Provincial landscape evaluation committee issued a circular, announcing the situation of the five-year evaluation review of the 4A scenic spot in 2011. Hengpaitou scenic spot was given a serious warning and was required to rectify within six months.

Huoqiu is located in the west of Anhui Province, on the South Bank of the Huaihe River, adjacent to Henan Province, with the majestic Dabie Mountains in the South and the surging Huaihe River in the north. It is the place where Nanjing and Xi'an railways run through, the county where 312 and 105 National Highways meet, the majestic Zhugang Nanzhao Huaihe River Bridge and the various Linhuaigang Huaihe River water conservancy projects make the water and land transportation of Huoqiu more convenient, and become the "east to west" destination of Anhui Province Thoroughfare, the distribution center of free flow of goods.

This scenic spot is concentrated and compact, with Hengpaitou hub project and Fengyuan Lake as the core, surrounded by mountains and water, and dependent on mountains and rivers. There are Jiugong Mountain, bishuiyan and tongshanzhai with unique landform; there are the intersection of two sources of Pi River, Fengyuan lake, the old road of Pi River and Gongxin canal with wonderful waterscape; there are rare biological ecological landscapes such as Pi Tan luolu, thrush Mingyou, Zhaosu Changdi, Fenghuang pine and Ancient Ginkgo; there are also famous old and new cultural landscapes such as General Xu Jishen's mausoleum, old street of Subu, Huanglian temple and Suzhou temple Jiabu battle exhibition hall, Hengpaitou water control project, Qingyuan building, Longwang temple, Wangjiang temple tower, Gaofeng temple, etc. are rare in the world for their high level, large scale, abundant content and concentrated distribution. What is particularly valuable is that Hengpaitou scenic spot is close to the big city, and it is also the suburb of Lu'an. It has convenient water and land transportation, and can climb mountains, play in the water, drift, have a rest, and take a holiday. Its development prospect is extremely bright.

There are hills, reservoirs and plains in the scenic area. The total terrain is high in the South and low in the north. The mountains in the scenic area belong to the branch of Dabie Mountains. The scenic area is rich in wild animals and plants. The forest coverage rate is more than 80%. The rare animals include pheasant, pangolin, pigeon, thrush, wild boar, etc. One hundred thousand egrets come here every summer and autumn. It has become a paradise for wild animals.

Features of scenic spots

Hengpaitou scenic spot is located in the southwest of Lu'an City. Its administrative divisions involve villages and towns such as Subu, Qingshan, shibanchong, Dushan and Xikou. It is composed of four scenic spots, including old street of Subu, main channel of Pihe River, Hengpaitou and jiugongzhai. The scenic spots are distributed in a belt and are relatively compact, with a total area of 54 square kilometers. The scenic spot is adjacent to Ningxi railway and 312, 105 National Highway, the traffic is very convenient.

Tourism resources are mainly concentrated in the surrounding areas with the core of Hengpaitou. The scenic spots in the area are concentrated with high frequency. There are waterways, highways and mountain paths, which form a line of main scenic spots. The scenic spots are well combined in space, with sharp contrast and strong sense of rhythm. Main attractions

PI Shihang

Pishihang water conservancy project is a special cultural landscape in the scenic area. It was built in 1956. It cuts the pishihe river flowing down from the gorge of Dabie Mountains by a kilometer long lift. The upper reaches of Pishihang water conservancy project are covered with 125 hectares of Fengyuan lake, Luoxia lake, egrets and Guzhou Yingping Lake, which are the fairies that many tourists yearn for. In the scenic spot, there is also a sluice gate inscribed by Marshal Liu Bocheng with the inscription "source of bumper harvest", which stands majestic; Qingyuan building is majestic, with a view of Jiugong towering in the distance, a close-up view of the blue waves and rocks, undulating green mountains on both sides, egrets flying lightly, and a panoramic view of lakes and mountains. There are also many Buddhist tourist sites in the scenic spot. The relic tower of Wangjiang temple is 21 meters high, with exquisite workmanship, which is a key cultural relic at the provincial level The protection unit, Huanglian temple, has a history of nearly 1700 years. The temple is magnificent and full of incense. There are 100000 visitors here every year.

Subu old street

The old street of Subu is well preserved, with green bricks and grey tiles, cornices and brackets, cobblestone street surface, deep seal, Jiangbei Huiyun, and unique scenery. CCTV Tourism Satellite TV once made a special report. Subu is also a red town. The "48 Day campaign" of Subu is well-known in history, with many revolutionary sites left. Now it has been established as a key cultural relic protection unit and patriotism education base in Jiangsu Province.

The master plan of Hengpaitou scenic spot in Lu'an City has been designed and compiled by the provincial capital planning and Design Institute and approved for implementation.
