Related Legends
There are nine peaks in the north mountain of Jilin Province, such as Jiulong, which was once known as Jiulong Mountain in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. There is a ditch behind the mountain, named Wohu ditch. It is said that a fierce tiger once lay in the ditch. In the 21st year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, Emperor Ren Ai xinjueluo Xuanye visited Wula, Jilin Province, the "land of Longxing" of the Qing Dynasty. Mr. Feng Shui said: Jilin Wula is guarded by four stars: East Qinglong, West Baihu, South Zhuque and North Xuanwu. There is a crouching tiger in Jiulong, and it is close to Tianshui (Songhua River, Manchu song Ali Wula, Tianshui). It is the place where the Dragon lies and the tiger is king. This made Emperor Kangxi feel uneasy, so he ordered general ningguta to chisel away several Jiulong mountains to break the fengshui of emperor Wula in Jilin Province. According to Ji Lin Jiu Wen Lu, "there are two peaks in Qimen mountain opposite each other, which are called" Guo long Mai ", and they are also chiseled to break their omens.". Jiulongshan was renamed Beishan or Beishan (because it is located in the north of jiangjunfu, Jilin Province). After the Yuhuangge was built in the 41st year of Qianlong, it was also called Yuhuangge mountain. Related layout
Yuhuangge was first built in the 39th year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty. Its plane is slightly rectangular and its layout is rigorous with obvious central axis symmetry. According to the terrain, the buildings are divided into two groups, low in front and high in back. The front courtyard is composed of Mountain Gate, bell tower, Drum Tower, ancestral temple, Guanyin hall, laolang hall and Huxian hall. On both sides of the mountain gate are statues of the heavenly king of the East, the heavenly king of the south, the heavenly king of the west, and the heavenly king of the north. After the mountain gate is a wooden square with the banner of "the best River and mountain in the world". On the east side of the archway, the first is the ancestral temple, which is dedicated to the ancestors of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, namely, Buddha, Laojun and Confucius; the second is Guanyin hall. On the west side of the memorial archway, the first is laolang hall, which is dedicated to Tang Minghuang, the ancestor of opera singing; the second is Huxian hall. The backyard is composed of the Duoyun hall and the guest rooms on both sides. Duoyun hall is the main hall, two stories high. The upper level worships the bronze statue of the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor is the God in charge of heaven, and Taoism is the supreme ruler of the divine world. The statues accompanied on both sides are Qianliyan and shunfenger, and the wall is painted with 28 colorful statues. The statues of Qiongxiao, Bixiao and Yunxiao are worshipped in the lower level. Yuhuangge carved beams, painted Melia, beautiful Huan, beautiful wheel; the buildings, brick to brick, exquisite place is striking.
Guide guide
Beishan temple fair began in the early Qing Dynasty, probably since the construction of the temple. Strictly speaking, there are four kinds of Beishan Temple Fair: the eighth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar is the birthday of the Tathagata Buddha, the eighteenth day of April is the temple fair of Niangniang, the 28th day of April is the temple fair of Yaowang, and the thirteenth day of May is the birthday of Guandi. Because the scale of the Buddha's birthday and Niangniang Temple Fair is relatively small, people hold the Guandi's birthday temple fair together with the Yaowang Temple Fair for the sake of excitement. Therefore, the Beishan temple fair generally refers to the Yaowang temple fair on April 28 of the lunar calendar.
