Xu Jiayuan

Xu Jiayuan is located at 36-38 Lujiao Road, the former residence of Xu Chunsheng, a Filipino overseas Chinese. It is a western style high-rise building with a large volume. The spacious balcony on the third floor is supported by two high-rise veranda with Corinthian column style as its head. It is a characteristic large family residence.

Xu Jiayuan graduated from the Department of chemistry of Xiamen University in 1959. Later, he stayed in Xiamen University to engage in the teaching and research of physical chemistry and electrochemistry. He is a professor in the Department of chemistry of Xiamen University.

The mechanism of additives in metal electrodeposition and their effects on the rate of metal electrodeposition and the physical and chemical properties of electrodeposited layer were studied. He has published more than 40 papers, participated in 5 national fund projects and 2 provincial fund projects, and presided over 1 horizontal project. The development of d2-1b electroplating additive detector has won the national patent and the gold medal of provincial invention and innovation achievements exhibition, and other achievements have also won the second prize of science and technology progress award of the State Education Commission. He is also a member of the academic committee of China Electroplating Association and the surface treatment Committee of China Light Industry Association.
