Tangshan museum is located in the Cultural Palace of Tangshan City, at the foot of Fenghuang mountain, with an overall construction area of 3768.7 square meters, Its main body is the exhibition of ancient civilization in Tangshan. Through the exhibition of four kinds of cultural relics, namely "stone culture", "pottery culture", "bronze culture" and "porcelain culture", it reveals the historical evolution of Tangshan comprehensively and systematically from different aspects, and shows the great contributions made by "tangshanren" in the process of creating history. Tangshan Museum
Tangshan Museum, located in Fenghuangshan Park in the center of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, was established in 1996. It was rebuilt from the South Hall of the original exhibition hall and officially opened to the public on April 5, 2012. It is a local comprehensive museum. It is a cultural activity center integrating cultural relics collection, protection, research, publicity and education.
The exhibition area of Tangshan museum is 12000 square meters, and the building area is 24000 square meters. There are 3600 cultural relics and unearthed specimens, more than 400 precious cultural relics of grade III or above. The collection of fine cultural relics includes the ivory fossils of Nama elephant, the carved pomegranate statue of Liao VAT wa kiln, etc.

architectural composition
overview
The main design concept of Tangshan museum's reconstruction and expansion plan is to "make urban history a part of Museum exhibition and collection". The original three "pin" shaped old buildings in the south, West and north of the museum are all retained. A new modern fashion museum is built in the northwest corner and southwest corner of the "pin" shaped exhibition hall, forming five pavilions which are alternately old and new. After the reconstruction and expansion of Tangshan Museum, there are five individual Museums: A, B, C, D and E. The building area is more than 24000 square meters, the exhibition hall area is about 12000 square meters, covering an area of 73 mu.

On the basis of highlighting the cultural relics, the exhibition is arranged by means of optoelectronics, sound, electronic touch screen, multimedia, animation and other modern scientific and technological means, which enhances the vividness and interest of the exhibition.
Tangshan Museum chooses different ways of expression according to different exhibition contents. It reproduces the scenes of primitive human life by using ring screen projection, the iron smelting scenes of Zunhua in the Ming and Qing Dynasties by using phantom imaging, and the salt making scenes of Nanpu by using sculpture landscape. An 11 meter long "ceramic history painting" by famous artist Liu hanzong is made into animation for display.
Museum B of Tangshan Museum has a cultural and Museum interactive paradise, where visitors can experience the fun of electronic Archaeology and cultural relics puzzles; museum D has a multi-functional lecture hall, in which cultural exchange activities such as expert lectures and small concerts can be held; the youth activity center of Museum e carries out a series of learning and practice activities for teenagers, such as hand-made and scientific experiments, for teaching and entertainment; and the temporary exhibition of Museum E The hall can hold a variety of temporary exhibitions.

Tangshan Museum has 3600 pieces of cultural relics and unearthed specimens, of which 400 are of grade three or above, a considerable number of which are rare treasures in China and the province. For example, human bone fossils of 20000 years ago unearthed from Mengjiaquan site in Yutian and stone tools made and used by human beings at that time, stone tools unearthed from Zhaocun Paleolithic site in Qian'an and bone needles and bone cones used by human beings to sew clothes, pottery unearthed from Xizhai site in Qianxi and other Neolithic sites, early Tangshan porcelain, Tangshan Shadow Puppets and some modern cultural relics all have important historical, artistic and cultural significance Scientific value.
Cultural display
"Tangshan historical and cultural exhibition" systematically shows the historical and cultural evolution of Tangshan from prehistoric civilization to the founding of new China. In order to give visitors a more intuitive touch of history, the museum displays more than 1600 cultural relics, photos and materials, of which a considerable number are rare treasures in China and the province. For example, the Paleolithic stone, bone and animal fossils unearthed from Zhaocun site in Qian'an, the human bone fossils unearthed from Mengjiaquan site in Yutian, and the Neolithic pottery, bronze and jade unearthed from Dachengshan site. Among them, the bronze plate with holes unearthed in Dachengshan is one of the earliest metal products discovered in China, which is a national first-class cultural relic. In 1999, more than 200 pieces of precious cultural relics, such as pottery, bronzes and bronzes, were unearthed from the houqianyi site of dongfabao village in Luanxian County, which was exhibited to the public for the first time.

Tangshan Shadow Play
Tangshan Shadow play is one of the most influential types of shadow play in China. It was founded in the late Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 400 years. "Tangshan donkey shadow puppet" shows the shadow puppets and scenes of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period collected by Tangshan Museum. They are exquisite, not only of cultural value, but also rare works of art.
Fossil incisors of the Nama elephant
The 2.8-meter-long Nama elephant incisor is unearthed from the Zhaocun site in Qian'an County, about 100000 years ago. It was excavated by Professor Pei Wenzhong.
Tangshan Pingju
Tangshan Pingju is one of the traditional Chinese operas. Its founder, Cheng Zhaocai (born in LUANNAN COUNTY, Tangshan City), was originally an artist of "lianhualuo". He boldly reformed lianhualuo and created a new drama with vivid plot - Pingju.

Tangshan museum will hold the exhibition of "cultural relics zoo" from December 27, 2019 to February 27, 2020. A total of 146 pieces of animal cultural relics are displayed in this exhibition, most of which are national second and third class precious cultural relics.

Tangshan Museum has more than 20 employees, and more than 90% of the total number have college education and professional personnel.
