Linjiang building
Linjiang building, an important historical site and representative building in modern times, is located at 52 Linjiang Road, Linjiang Town, Shanghang County, Longyan City, Fujian Province.
Historical evolution
The picturesque riverside building used to be the former site of "guangfulong" warehouse and the villa of the innkeeper. The building covers an area of about 300 m2 and has three floors (outer three floors and inner two floors).
historical background
In October 1929, Mao Zedong, suffering from severe malaria, lay on a stretcher and was escorted by several red guards. He came from Hexi Town of Yongding County to Shanghang City, where he had just been liberated. He lived in the East Wing room on the second floor of Linjiang building.
He left in late October and went to sujiapo Village (Gutian Town, Shanghang County) via shuixidu and jiangjunqiao.
Chairman Mao's "mulberry picking: Chongyang"
In October 1929, Chairman Mao, who lived in Linjiang building, wrote the poem "mulberry picking: Chongyang" in front of the main hall on the second floor of Renli "Linjiang building" in the early morning of the next day. Facing the strong wind of late autumn, the Tingjiang River was full of smoke and waves, the chrysanthemums were blooming all over the mountains and rivers, the fighting course of the Fourth Red Army in Fujian for more than half a year and the land revolution in Western Fujian was in full swing.
Protection level of cultural relics
In 2016, Linjiang building was listed as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
In 2016, Linjiang building was named the fifth batch of patriotic education bases in Fujian Province by the Propaganda Department of Fujian Province.
