Ancient Meili in Huai'an
Ancient Meili is also called Meili, also known as the hometown of Meigao. Like qingliangang, it is also one of the ancient historical and cultural relics in Huai'an.
Ancient Meili is close to the ancient canal. After the Ming Dynasty, in order to commemorate the Fu family of the Han Dynasty, Mei Cheng and Mei Gao, they built memorial archways and Mei Pavilion beside their former residence in the west of Huaicheng. Meicheng's former residence in Huai'an District of Huai'an City was destroyed in the war.
In 1985, the people's Government of Huai'an District of Huai'an city rebuilt the "Mei Pavilion" at the original site. The pavilion is 5 meters high, with four columns on all sides, 3 meters wide and slightly raised corners. In the pavilion, a stone tablet with a height of 1.8 meters and a width of 0.6 meters is erected, and the front is engraved with three characters of "Gu Mei Li".
