Golmud River
Golmud River is located in the south of Qaidam Basin, Qinghai Province, China. The upper source is divided into two branches: the left branch is the Naijin River (naiziegler River), which originates from the glacier of bokalektak mountain in Kunlun Mountains and is the main source of the Golmud River. The right branch of xiugouguole River (shuergan River) originates from tanggewula mountain. After the confluence of the two rivers below Nachitai, they are called Golmud River. Through Golmud City, they flow northward to Dabson lake. The main stream is 215km long with a drop of 1440m. The average annual runoff (Geermu station) is 2.42 m3 / s. As the groundwater recharge accounts for more than 66%, the annual distribution of runoff is relatively uniform, and the annual variation of runoff is small, so it is a small and stable river.
trunk stream
Golmud River is one of the largest inland rivers in Qaidam Basin, located in Golmud City and Dulan county. Above the cement plant of Golmud general field, there are two branches: the West Branch is called Kunlun River (also called Naijin river or Naiqi River), and the East branch is called shuergan River (also called Xiugou river or Xiugou River). The shuergan river is divided into East and West branches above geyonggebaiqier. The East branch is called jiariqu (also called miegentan gengol), and the West Branch is called huolanguole (also called duonandongzaiqu).
basin
Huolanguole is the main source of Golmud River, which originates from the southern foot of gangbeichaluma mountain. It flows from the south to the East into the kabanuerdo lake, and then flows from the north to the East_ At 95 ° 54'e and 35 ° 30'n, geyongqu on the right bank flows in from south to geyonggezi'er and jiariqu on the right bank flows in from south to East. The total length of huolanguole is 161.5 km from the source to the jiariqu estuary.
The shuergan river turns at right angles below the mouth of jiariqu estuary, flows northward and northwestward, flows westward to open wasteland in Zongjia Township, Dulan County, flows northward to Golmud hot spring, flows northwestward to Golmud general cement plant, and flows into Kunlun River on the left bank from southwest. From jiariqu river mouth to Geermu general cement plant, it mainly flows through mountainous areas without major tributaries. The river course is divided into upper, middle and lower sections: the upper section runs from jiariqu river mouth to kaihuang, obliquely crosses tanggewula mountain, and the river course is narrow; In the middle section, from reclamation to hot spring, it flows through the wide valley between buerhanbuda mountain and tanggewula mountain. The lakes and swamps are very developed, and the river course is divided into many streams with wide river bed. In the lower section, from hot spring to cement plant, it slants through the mountain and the river course is narrow. The Golmud River is 316.6 km long from its source to the Kunlun estuary.
The Golmud River flows northward from the Kunlun estuary and crosses the Kunlun Mountains. The river channel is divided into East and West branches after the pass. The West Branch flows northwestward and flows into the west main canal of Golmud. The East branch is the main channel, and the north east flow is divided into two branches. The West Branch is called Golmud West River, and the East branch is called Golmud East River. Geermu West flows northeastward into Geermu reservoir and enters into Geermu West trunk canal; Geermu East flows northeastward into Geermu West trunk canal. After leaving the main canal, the two rivers respectively flow through the East and west sides of Geermu city, and then flow into dongdabu from north to East
Lake Johnson. There are many tributaries in front of the mountain pass of the Golmud River, and the main tributaries are grid shaped water system. After the mountain pass, the river course bifurcates many times, and there is the phenomenon of merging and branching between the rivers. Golmud River has a catchment area of 18 648 square kilometers from its source to Golmud (III) hydrological station, a river length of 323.4 kilometers, an average annual discharge of 23.9 cubic meters per second, and an average annual sediment concentration of 2.78 kg / cubic meters.
The Kunlun river originates from Langya Mountain. On the Black Sea, the Kunlun river passes through the Gobi and becomes a seasonal reach. Out of the Black Sea, it flows eastward along the valley between bokalektag mountain and shasongwula mountain, passes through Nachitai to Kunlun bridge, and flows into Nangou on the right bank from the south. The river bed is very deep, narrow and steep. Below Nangou estuary, it flows northeastward into Golmud River. The Kunlun river has a catchment area of 7527 square kilometers, a length of 248.5 kilometers, an average annual discharge of 11.8 cubic meters per second, and an average annual sediment concentration of 2.4 kg per cubic meter.
