Weifang botanical garden is located in the southeast of Weifang City. Beihai Road and Baotong Street are the main roads in the East and south of Weifang City. The botanical garden was founded in 2007, covering an area of about 460000 square meters. It is composed of four scenic spots: ornamental tree area, aquatic plant area, rock garden and bonsai Science Park.

Development history

Weifang botanical garden is expanded on the basis of the original Jiulongshan Arboretum. There are nine scenic spots in Weifang Botanical Garden: Puyuan, Huiyuan, lanfengtang, Xizhao, dongkai (temporary name), tingsongge (temporary name), hefengyinyue (temporary name), Tingxiang (temporary name) and zhaoyue (temporary name). Weifang botanical garden was founded in 2007, completed and opened to the outside world in 2009, with a total area of about 460000 square meters (220000 square meters east of Xinhua Road, 240000 square meters south of Yingqian street of Yuhe scenic spot in the west of Xinhua Road). Weifang botanical garden is a garden mainly for sightseeing and popular science, and also for scientific research.

Main attractions

The botanical garden is mainly planted with warm temperate woody and herbaceous plants, with more than 4000 species. It is the place with the most plant varieties in Weifang City. There are 10 botanical gardens with different styles in the park, including pine and cypress garden, magnolia garden, peony garden, cherry blossom garden, Apricot Garden, red fruit garden, rose garden, Maple Garden, sweet clover garden and bamboo garden.
