Xuzhou urban planning exhibition hall is a key project of urban construction in 2009. It is located in the south of the administrative center of Xuzhou new urban area. The west side is close to the urban landscape Avenue, and the east side is the citizen sinking square. It forms a cultural building in the new urban area with the Xuzhou archives opposite.

Overview of Planning Museum

The total construction area of Xuzhou Planning Museum is 26000 square meters. The exhibition area is 18000 square meters. The museum officially opened on December 31, 2009. The whole planning hall is divided into three floors and four exhibition halls, which are preface hall, history hall, achievement hall and planning hall.

Introduction to preface hall

The preface hall on the first floor mainly gives a general introduction to Xuzhou City, including the octagonal projection column for playing city propaganda films and the leadership care display wall composed of 15 screens, showing the photos of Mao Zedong and other previous party and state leaders as well as provincial and municipal leaders inspecting Xuzhou.

Introduction to history Hall

The history hall mainly tells the history of Xuzhou. It includes: the model of Xuzhou City in Han Dynasty, Pengzu founded Pengcheng, Xiang Yu established Pengcheng, Liu Jiaoying built a new city, Liu Yu's northern expedition to repair the city, Su Shi's flood fighting to protect the city, pan Jixun's canal to protect the city, Qianlong's stone dike to protect the City, the important town of North and South - a place of cultural diversity, Xu culture as one of the nine prefectures, canal culture as the thoroughfare of five provinces, Huaihai culture as the blend of North and south, and modern culture as the west wind spread to the East Content area.

The achievement hall on the second floor mainly shows the achievements of Xuzhou's urban construction in recent years. It includes four departments: the city of innovation, the city of landscape, the city of culture, and the construction of new urban areas in the future.

The planning hall mainly displays various kinds of planning of Xuzhou City, including: central business district planning, zoning planning, Western business district planning, new urban planning, comprehensive transportation planning, high-speed rail district planning, eco-tourism planning, Xuzhou master planning sand table, etc.

Architectural features

The total construction area of the project is 26224 square meters, and the total building height is 23.1 meters. There are four floors above the ground and one floor underground, which are divided into square hall and round hall. A few vigorous and powerful characters are shining in the sun. From a distance, it looks like an art castle with white and brown. The round hall is mainly used for ancient exhibition hall, ring screen multimedia exhibition hall and modern city model exhibition hall, while the square hall mainly includes temporary exhibition hall, modern exhibition hall, exhibition hall of six counties and five districts, lecture hall, rest hall, equipment room, etc.

Exhibition hall: the first floor is the leadership care, history (past) hall, publicity hall; the second floor is the achievement (Modern) Hall: Fashion City, modern city, landscape city, culture city, innovation city; the third floor is the planning (future) hall, including urban master planning, zoning planning, regulatory detailed planning, comprehensive transportation planning, central business district planning, new urban planning, shantytowns Reconstruction, revitalization of old industrial base and reconstruction of collapse area, infrastructure planning, key project exhibition.

Chen Zhan's characteristics

The urban planning exhibition hall has two characteristics to look forward to. One is that the history hall in the exhibition hall is still a precedent in China's urban planning exhibition hall. The audio, optical and electrical parts of the multimedia adopt the latest means and expression methods. The circular curtain forms a 360 degree surrounding background screen. With the help of the most advanced image projection and multimedia technology, the four seasons landscape can be simulated and displayed Different aspects of the city can also show 360 degree three-dimensional surround virtual reality multimedia image materials, making the audience feel as if they are in the future urban space and experience the urban landscape after the implementation of the planning.

The upper part of the model is covered with toughened glass floor. Visitors can walk into the top of the model and have a close observation. In addition, the aluminum curtain wall outside the circular Pavilion shows the main traffic line of Xuzhou City and fully interprets the concept of urban planning exhibition.

Xuzhou Planning Museum uses projection, infrared remote sensing, three-dimensional virtual and other high-tech means to comprehensively display Xuzhou's urban layout framework, urban construction achievements and future development direction. It has become an important place for the general public to understand, supervise and participate in urban planning and construction.
