Asian Art Park
Asian Art Park is located in the center of Foshan Development Zone, covering an area of 40 hectares, of which the water area is 26.6 hectares. The planning and design of the park features Lingnan water town, water forest, dragon boat race, and Lingnan culture. At the same time, through the design elements of architecture, sculpture, plants, bridges and so on To create an art garden with Asian artistic style.
Basic introduction
Born out of the regulation and storage Lake Park
The park is located in the east side of Wenhua Road, the north side of Lvjing road and the west side of Hujing road in Chancheng District, covering an area of 40 hectares, including 26.6 hectares of water area. It has been built under the temporary name of "regulating Lake Park" before.
In order to grasp the opportunity of the 7th Asian Art Festival held in Foshan and better display the Lingnan culture and the regional culture of Asian countries, the park was officially named Asian Art Park. Construction of the park started at the end of 2003.
The planned Asian Art Park is mainly divided into "main entrance scenic spot", "water forest scenic spot" and "Dragon Boat Race scenic spot". It takes Lingnan water town as the prominent feature of the context, water forest as the prominent feature of the green vein, dragon boat race as the prominent feature of the water vein as the design concept, highlighting Lingnan cultural characteristics, through the design of architecture, sculpture, plants, bridges and so on Elements to create a park with Asian artistic style.
Three scenic spots show their characteristics
"Main entrance scenic spot": the square area of the scenic spot is about 14000 square meters, which can accommodate 3000 tourists for garden activities, including entrance square, commemorative sculpture of Asian culture and Art Festival, cultural gallery, water stage, parking lot and other facilities. The scenic area is flat and atmospheric, with wide sight and smooth traffic. It has a good function of people distribution, and will become one of the main venues for cultural exchange activities of Asian Art Festival.
"Water forest scenic spot": the landscape is mainly characterized by water pine and larch, forming water plant community. In the planting space, a variety of rest spaces are set up, and at the same time, artistic works created by Asian sculpture artists reflecting the cultures of various countries are arranged.
"Dragon Boat Race scenic spot": a dragon boat race track of international competition standard is set up on the large water surface of the Asian Art Park. The revetment of the scenic spot is zigzag and winding. Along the coast, a number of waterside pavilions, pavilions and docks are designed as a platform for tourists to enjoy the lake scenery and dragon boat race.
Asian Art forest
In the southwest corner of the Asian Art Park, there is a green island in the lake with an area of about 2800 square meters, which has been selected as the planting site of the commemorative forest of the Asian Art Festival and the location of the Foshan declaration signed by the forum of Asian Ministers of culture. The plant landscape of the memorial forest is mainly broad-leaved trees, with appropriate amount of flowering shrubs, relying on garden roads, platforms and architectural sketches.
The tree planting ceremony of "Asian Art forest" has left a touch of fresh green in the time and space of the Asian Art Park, leaving a memorable memory. With a simple and unadorned ceremony, it cultivates the hand-in-hand friendship of Asian nations, and with a sincere love for life, it marks the eternity of Asian civilization. The gate of Asian Art
The construction project of the commemorative sculpture of the 7th Asian Art Festival is an art project that combines art and architecture in a multi-dimensional way and operates in a multi-dimensional integrated operating system. The project started in March this year and ended on October 15. The main construction project of the "gate of Asian Art" sculpture was officially launched on July 16. On August 24, the first kiln was put into trial installation. On August 25, the first kiln was ignited. On September 26, the seventh kiln was fired. On October 15, the installation was completed, five days ahead of the original plan. Its cultural content is heavy, its artistic form is unique, its structural mechanics is up to the standard, its firing rate is 98%, and its color reaches the expected ideal effect.
The original plan of "Asian art gate" was designed by Chen Shushu, deputy director and professor of traditional Chinese Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of fine arts, and Wei Hua, a mural teacher of traditional Chinese Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of fine arts. The amendment was designed by Li Min, a national second-class artist of Foshan Sculpture Institute. The three-dimensional draft of the amendment was created by Jian Xizhao, a national first-class artist, Li Min, a national second-class artist, Xue Lyon, a national second-class artist, Zhuo Guoping, a national second-class artist, Zhou Bingji, and Luo Zhiqi, a national third-class artist of Foshan Sculpture Institute. Foshan Sculpture Institute has undertaken the plan revision and construction work, including the three-dimensional manuscript creation of the amendment, 1:1.13 clay manuscript enlargement, plaster mold turning, ceramic printing blank forming, green body drying, surface glazing treatment, transportation and installation, etc. The firing work was donated by the people's Government of Chancheng District of Foshan City, Shiwan sub district office of Chancheng District of Foshan City and Nanfeng guzao Tourism Development Co., Ltd.
The formed "gate of Asian Art" is composed of 2839 pieces of ceramic plates, with an area of about 830 square meters of relief, and the actual firing heights of the two "Gates" are 17.6 meters and 15.6 meters respectively.
"Asian art gate" is a masterpiece of collective wisdom, a crystallization of group cooperation, an image symbol of Foshan ceramic culture, and an eternal gift from Foshan people to the 7th Asian Art Festival.
According to Foshan Ceramic Institute, "the gate of Asian Art" is the largest modern ceramic sculpture work in the world. It is the first large-scale epic of Asian Art civilization forged with clay, and a milestone in the development of ceramic art in Foshan, the Millennium ceramic capital.
"The gate of Asian Art" embodies the inclusive, ancient and modern, broad and profound, open and open Lingnan ceramic culture. It is the symbol of the Asian Art Park. It is not only a work of art, but also a symbol of culture. It symbolizes the exchange and opening of Asian culture and implies the opening, exchange, fusion and sublimation of Asian culture. It is a door of "art condenses Asia, culture communicates with the world", showing "charming Foshan, culture Asia, art world"; it is a door of Asian cultural exchange, opening, sublimation, Chinese cultural inheritance, development, integration with the world, and creating brilliance with Asia; at the same time, it is also a door of "let the world know Foshan, let Foshan go to the world".
Breakthrough and Innovation:
1) Foshan Sculpture Institute has repeatedly researched the actual dimension of Longyao's "Nanzao" kiln cavity and consulted a number of experienced Nanfeng ancient stove kiln workers. According to the kiln space, it scientifically designed the kiln site with a capacity of 130 m2 / kiln: the block size of the mold is cut according to the maximum factor of each interval of the kiln warehouse, which is basically 72 cm × 48 cm = 0.345 m2 / block; the stacking kiln is installed according to the maximum safety factor, and the spacing is 0.345 m2 To control the range of 15 cm to 20 cm is the key to determine the kiln capacity package and ensure the completion of the task on time.
2) The experience and technology of "three-dimensional stack kiln" and "fire blocking" of traditional Longyao stack kiln are applied, especially the "fire blocking warehouse" with traditional characteristics. However, the technical team adopted a new method of keeping the center stable with the bottom of high-temperature silicon plate and dispersing the bearing capacity with the silicon plate positioning traction, which improved the quality and stability of the flat slab kiln.
3) Breaking through the traditional printing method of gypsum mold: printing the main view surface green body with flat mold, and then erecting the surrounding volume with empty mold. This method breaks through the traditional printing method of "closed mold" or "enclosed mold" in Shiwan, and is suitable for the printing of large-scale three-dimensional ceramic models. This printing method has been tried in the production of large-scale environmental ceramic sculpture "Tao Nu" (total height 8.3 meters) in Shiwan Park, but it is the first time to use it in such a large area.
4) Break through the chance of "flame red effect" of wood kiln plain burning: in order to achieve the ideal natural effect of "flame red" of wood burning of he red copper, the Sculpture Institute boldly adopted the pigment formula used only in small works in the past. The formula uses nearly 300 kg of industrial salt and 30 kg of iron oxide coloring agent. Based on the principle of salt burning and the effect of firewood burning, it achieves the relatively ideal natural color burning effect without the assistance of scientific and technological instruments, and ensures the surface art appeal of "Asian art gate".
Original design idea of "gate of Asian Art"
Chen Shushu, one of the original designers, took the traditional Chinese character "gate" to form the main body of the sculpture, which itself is a national symbol language and has far-reaching symbolic significance. Wei Hua, one of the original designers, integrated his artistic personality language into the shape of the "gate" and endowed the "gate" with content and visual effect, which has three meanings: first, it shows the regional significance - "south gate of China" Guangdong Foshan; second, the door represents the transformation and transfer of space, which means that the culture and art of Asian countries are independent and interdependent, and the lack of either side will make the other side appear isolated; third, it means that Foshan in the new century and China in the new century will, as always, open the door to welcome the art and culture of Asian countries to enter the country, and gather elites to create brilliance together.
Amendment design of "Asian art gate"
