Writing poems to express one's feelings
Before this tower was built, there was a stone tower here. Liu gengyang, a famous scholar of the Yuan Dynasty, once ascended the stone tower and wrote a poem to express his feelings: "Zhuo towering wonders, barrier bichuan, potential swallow Baoli and Yunlian. When I look up from a height, I hold up half the sky. " After the completion of the lighthouse, it was mainly used as a beacon lighthouse for French warships and coastal merchant ships to enter and leave Guangzhou Bay and Zhanjiang inland.
In 1945, China regained the management of the lighthouse in Naozhou.
Naozhou island is a volcanic island, a small island in the southeast corner of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province.
Most of the residents of Naozhou island live on the sea. The wharf of Naozhou is full of fishing boats. Every morning and evening, people come to visit and travel in an endless stream. Hundreds of fishing boats gathered on the sea near the wharf. At night, thousands of lights are shining and fishing songs are singing. It is like a "city in the sea" connected by ships.
In the morning, baskets of fresh fish, crabs and shrimps are transported to the shore one after another from the fishing boat warehouse. The noise of labor, the sound of crying and the sound of sirens form a scene of busy and bumper harvest. The air on the island is fresh. Naozhou island is famous for its lighthouse.
The origin of Architecture
Naozhou lighthouse is located in the southeast corner of Naozhou Island, about 8 km away from the wharf. Built on Ma'anshan at an altitude of 81.6 meters, it was built by the French in 1898.
There is a lookout platform outside the lampholder room. You can see it from afar. It's beautiful and beautiful.
Square tower foundation
The whole Lighthouse of Naozhou is made up of stone blocks without any mud. The stones are in perfect harmony with each other. The bottom of the tower is a square tower foundation, and the upper part is a cone. The top of the tower is a drum shaped lamp holder room protruding from the tower body. A closed and rotatable tray is arranged at the bottom of the central part of the lamp holder, with built-in mercury to support the whole lamp holder.
The lamp holder is composed of more than 160 arc-shaped crystal triangular lenses, and a complete light source and emission system is composed of convex lens and fluorescent lamp. In 1984, it was switched to the motor starting speed box. It took 5 seconds to rotate a circle. The light source is a 1000 Watt mercury bulb. The powerful beam has a range of 26 nautical miles, which provides navigation for passing ships.
Main structure
Naozhou lighthouse is composed of three parts: tower base, tower body and lamps, with a height of about 23 meters. The tower base is square, 4.8 meters long and 5.9 meters high. The body of the tower is cylindrical, 16.05 meters high, with a number of windows and railings on the outer platform. The inner diameter of the tower cavity is 2.6 meters, and 66 fan-shaped components are stacked to form a central cylinder and steps, which are spiral in shape. The spiral can reach the platform and then enter the lamp.
The base and body of the tower are built with granite of the same specifications, and the tenon and mortise structure is quite firm. The lamps are composed of 160 pieces of triangular crystal lenses, such as clam shaped lampshade, with convex lens in the middle. The copper round groove base is filled with about 3 tons of mercury as lubricant. It is pulled and rotated by a spring to make the light converge into a powerful beam through a triangular crystal mirror. The light range is 26 nautical miles and the arc direction is 360 degrees. The lamp was originally driven and rotated by a 31.75kg heavy hammer clock type spring. The chain can rotate for 1 hour and 40 minutes at a time, and the speed of the lamp was controlled to be 5 seconds. In 1984, the lamp was driven and rotated by an electric speed box. It is one of the two existing crystal mirror lighthouses in the world, and also one of the world-famous beacon lighthouses. Up to now, it is still used as a lighthouse for Chinese and foreign ships to and from Zhanjiang. In 1989, grouting method was used to reinforce the top of the tower.
