Zhibo canal is located in Jinci Park in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. From shuijingtai to the west, there is a main canal of Jinshui - "Zhibo canal", also known as Haiqing North River.
brief introduction
At the end of the spring and Autumn period, Zhibo, the Prime Minister of the state of Jin, dug this canal in order to capture Zhao Xiangzi's land and irrigate Jinyang with Fenshui and Jinshui. On the basis of old canals, later generations built and dredged them to become canals for irrigating fields.
characteristic
There are eight small bridges built on the canal in different forms to connect the two sides. In addition, liubixie, zhenquting, buxizhou, Yuqiong temple and other garden buildings, or built near the water, or across the canal, constitute a vivid and beautiful landscape. The reason why Yinjin temple forms a free and decentralized layout is closely related to the existence of Zhibo canal. From the mountain gate to the Notre Dame hall, the main line and the canal meet at the Huixian bridge, from which the two groups of different space flow lines of water and land complement each other, outlining the unique landscape of Jinci.
geographical position
Founded in the early Warring States period, the urban water supply and irrigation project is located in the southwest of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province.
Historical documents
Shanxi Province, southwest of Taiyuan City, Jinci spring irrigation area. In 453 BC, the four ministers of Jin State, Zhi, Zhao, Wei and Han, fought against each other. Zhao Xiangzi entered Jinyang city. Zhi Bo United with Han and Wei to attack Zhao. He built a weir on the water of Jin to irrigate the city. Because the city defense was strong, he failed to break it. Later, people took advantage of the projects built during the water attack to reorganize the channels and form a water diversion system with dam for water supply to Jinyang city. The original weir downstream channel becomes the discharge channel of excess water. In the Tang Dynasty, Jinyang city had three cities: East, middle and West. The east city was on the East Bank of Fenshui, and the city crossed Fenshui, with a population of several hundred thousand. During the reign of Zhenguan (627-649), a large aqueduct across Fenshui River was built to "divert Jinshui River into Dongcheng city to feed the people". In Song Dynasty, the rice fields were filled with regret, and many hydraulic mills were built. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, four main canals were built, namely the North Canal, the middle canal, the south canal and the Lubu canal, and there was a separate irrigation system. It is one of the famous irrigation and dyeing plants in Shanxi Province. Jinci scenic spot at the head of canal. It's a famous tourist attraction
