Linyang Temple
Linyang temple, also known as Linyang temple, is located in Shoushan Township, Beifeng mountain area, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, 19 kilometers away from the city center. The temple is located at the foot of Ruifeng. According to the records of three mountains of Song Dynasty, it was built in the second year of Changxing (931) in the later Tang Dynasty and was named Linyang courtyard. Minduji of Ming Dynasty was founded in the first year of Tianfu (936). It was abandoned in the early Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in 1612. It was changed into a temple and then abandoned. The existing temple was rebuilt by Zen master Gu Yue, the abbot of Gushan Yongquan temple in Qingguang Xujian (1875-1908), which was called Linyang temple.
Linyang temple, the whole group of buildings generally follow the example of Gushan Yongquan temple, with Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and Fatang as the main axis buildings, with two towers of bells and drums standing on the left and right. Pangcun temple, monk's room, living room and other magnificent scale, was one of the five Buddhist temples in Fuzhou.

Traffic information
There is a Jinfeng passenger station next to Xindian station (take a bus to Xindian station in the city). Now it has moved to fufei Shenzhi intersection station. There is a shuttle bus to Linyang temple, and the ticket price is 10 yuan.

There are several thousand year old trees in Linyang temple; the lake is covered with green grass, and the blue water reflects the blue sky. The whole temple is modeled on Yongquan temple, with Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and Fatang as the main buildings. There are more than 20 halls on the left and right, including bell and Drum Tower, zushi hall, Jialan hall, Baoen hall, Xigui hall, dicangwang hall, Chan hall, nianfo hall, Guyue courtyard, Dabei building, covering an area of more than 11000 square meters and a construction area of 7704 square meters.
On the horizontal plaque of the gate of Tianwang hall, there are four big characters "Linyang Temple", which was written by Mr. Zhao Puchu when he visited Linyang temple in 1981.
Layout structure
The dizang hall on the west side of Tianwang hall was built in the late 1980s. It is a two-story building of concrete structure, with a construction area of 600 square meters, glazed tile surface, wooden ceiling, three-way corridor, red column and green corridor. It has both Chinese and Western architectural styles, and can be used for tourists to stay. The bronze statue of the king of Tibet in the hall weighs 650 kg.
On the east side of Tianwang hall is a new jade Buddha Hall built in the 1990s, in which there are jade reclining Buddhas transported back from Indonesia by air. The Jade Buddha has a serene and dignified manner and is exquisitely carved, which can be called a treasure in the temple.
main hall
Behind the heavenly king hall, there are three great Buddhas in the great hall. On the horizontal plaque in front of the hall, the inscription "Great Hall" is inscribed by Chen Baochen in the late Qing Dynasty. In the hall, there is also a horizontal plaque of "Zheng Wushang Fa" written by master Hongyi, and a large iron bell cast in the fifth year of Kangxi reign is preserved.
Dharma hall is located in the highest part of the temple. There are six cabinets and thousands of Buddhist scriptures engraved in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty. A large bronze bell, weighing 600 kg, hung in the bell tower to be held by two people, was cast during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty.
Ancient and modern humanities
On the east side of Linyang temple, there is an ancient moon pagoda, in which there is a bone pagoda of master Gu Yue, and the life stories and memorials of master Gu Yue are displayed. In the west of the temple, there is a stone single-layer circular bone pagoda built in the fourth year of Chen Yongding of the Southern Dynasty. The body of the pagoda is engraved with 14 character regular script of "Yinshan Yongding, Xinsi, Xingjin, Xiaoshi, etc. The discovery of the pagoda can trace the history of the temple to 560 A.D.
There are three pagodas in the temple, namely "Yinshan pagoda", "monk pagoda" and "Baoen pagoda". There are several Buddhist relics in the pagoda.
Reconstruction period
At the foot of Ruifeng, Beifeng District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, there is an ancient Tang Dynasty temple, Linyang temple, which is one of the five Zen forests in Fuzhou. Linyang temple was called "Linyang courtyard" and "Ruifeng courtyard" in ancient times. According to the records of the three mountains, in the second year of Changxing (931) of the late Tang Dynasty, Linyang courtyard was set up. The temple was founded in the first year of Tianfu (936). The founder is Zhiduan Zen master. Zhiduan (1981-1969), a native of Fuzhou, became a monk. After he became a monk, he worshipped Wang Dang of an Guohong as his teacher and later founded Linyang temple as his abbot.
In the early Ming Dynasty, Linyang temple was abandoned. At the end of Ming Dynasty, Xie Zhaozhe wrote a poem describing the desolation of the temple: the jungle covered with vines, the broken iron covered with clothes, and the stone collapsed; the lonely village heard the broken chime at night, and the monk returned to the temple in spring. The mountains are barren and thorns are not close to each other. The mountains are separated by peach branches, and there are few visitors to the mountains.
At the end of Ming Dynasty, master Dayuan rebuilt the Buddhist hall here. In 1673, it was restored.
The existing temples were rebuilt by Gu Yue and Yuan Lang during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of Qing Dynasty. The disciples of Zen master Gu Yue, such as Jing Yuan and Wu Zheng, went to Nanyang and Beijing to raise money, renovate temples, welcome the Tripitaka, and build a tower in the Abbot's room to worship the spirit bones of the master. In 1930, master Yuan Ying was the abbot of Linyang temple.
In 1981, Linyang temple was reopened as a place for Buddhist activities. In 1983, it was designated by the State Council as a national key Buddhist temple in the Han nationality area. From 1981 to 1985, monks rebuilt the whole temple. Now the hall is magnificent and the Buddha statue is solemn. On the central axis, there are Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and Dharma hall. On both sides, there are bell tower, Drum Tower, Zen hall, monk room and other buildings.
Tourist attractions
There are many historic sites around Linyang temple, such as Zhu Xi's lecture hall, as well as Jiufeng, Furong and Shoushan. Surrounded by mountains, bamboo groves and pine woods, the scenery is quite good. It is an ideal place for people to visit and enjoy the scenery.
According to min Du Ji of Ming Dynasty, the Buddhist hall was rebuilt in 1612. The existing Linyang temple was rebuilt in 1912 by the abbot of Gushan Yongquan temple, monk Gu Yue. The whole building imitates Yongquan temple, with Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall and Fatang as the main building. There are more than 20 temples on the left and right, including bell and Drum Tower, ancestral hall, Jialan hall, Baoen hall, Xigui hall, dicangwang hall, Chan hall, nianfo hall, Qitang, Xiangji kitchen, storehouse, Liaofang, Abbot's room, Guyue courtyard, Dabei building, covering an area of more than 11100 square meters and a construction area of more than 7700 square meters. It is one of the five Buddhist temples in Fuzhou.
To the west of the temple is a stone single-layer circular bone pagoda built in the fourth year of Chen Yongding (560) of the Southern Dynasty. The body of the pagoda is engraved with 14 character regular script of "Yinshan Yongding, Xinsi, Xiaoshi Xingjin, etc. At present, there are three pagodas in the temple, namely "Yinshan pagoda", "monk pagoda" and "Baoen pagoda". There are several Buddhist relics in the pagoda, and there are three inscriptions. One is the merit tablet of Liu wangquan in Xingsi, and the other two are the mysterious tablets, which are kept by Fuzhou Municipal Administration of cultural relics.

Surrounded by mountains, bamboo groves and pine woods, the scenery is quite good. It is an ideal place for people to visit and enjoy the scenery. The current abbot is master Shi xiuda.
The scale
The temple complex faces south, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing water on one side. The mountains are lush with trees, and there are still several thousand year old trees; the lake is covered with green grass, and the blue water reflects the blue sky. The gate wall of the temple is built near the lake and faces east. There are two couplets on the doorpost: "the forest peak is full of auspicious spirit, the green mountains are not old, the sun shines on the earth, and the green water flows forever"; and "all sufferings are eliminated, and all blessings are magnificent.". At the entrance to the mountain, there are Tianwang hall, daxiongbao hall and Dharma hall as the central axis, standing on the second floor of bells and drums on both sides; there are more than 20 halls on both sides, such as Jialan hall, zushi hall, Baoen hall, Xigui temple, dizang hall, Zen Hall, Zhaitang, nianfo hall, Abbot's room, Guyue pagoda, Dabei building and Yufo hall.
There are four big characters "Linyang Temple" on the gate of Tianwang hall, which was written by Zhao Puchu, President of China Buddhist Association, when he visited Linyang temple in 1981.
Horizontal plaque in front of the hall
In front of the hall is a horizontal plaque inscribed by Chen Baochen at the end of the Qing Dynasty; in the hall is a horizontal plaque inscribed by master Hongyi to prove the supreme Dharma, and a large iron bell cast in 1666. Dharma hall is located in the highest part of the temple. There are six cabinets and thousands of Buddhist scriptures engraved in Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty. A large bronze bell, weighing 600 kg, is hung in the bell tower. It was cast during the reign of Emperor Kangxi and moved from daoshan Shenguang Temple (the lower courtyard of Linyang Temple) in the early years of the Republic of China.
