Ouyang Xiu cemetery
Ouyang Xiu cemetery is located in Ouyang temple village, Xindian Town, 13 km west of Xinzheng City, Henan Province. The park has a beautiful environment, with hills in the north, gullies in the South and streams in the south. In the cemetery lie Ouyang Xiu, a famous politician, litterateur, historian and epigraphist of the Northern Song Dynasty, one of the eight famous masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties, as well as his wife and descendants.
Introduction to the park
Ouyang Xiu mausoleum, also known as Ouyang, Zhonggong mausoleum, is the site of the ancestral hall and family tombs of Ouyang Xiu, a famous politician, writer, historian and epigrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty. Ouyang temple village is located 12 kilometers west of Xinzheng City. On May 25, 2006, the State Council announced it as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Ouyang Xiu mausoleum covers an area of about 10000 square meters, the overall layout is facing south, the building is wood structure, imitating song style. It is mainly composed of Mountain Gate, middle hall, main hall, East and west auxiliary hall and tombs. On the north-south axis, there are the outer wall, the gate, the inner wall, the East-West wing rooms and the main hall, which lead directly to the mausoleum. There are walls around. The whole cemetery is solemn and dignified with high taste, which has attracted countless celebrities to pay homage to it.
External and internal walls
The outer wall is 5 meters high and 6 meters long. There are three gates. There are steps on the left and right in front of the gate. The inner screen wall is the same height as the wall, and the courtyard is divided into two parts, the front and the back, with convenient doors on the left and right. There is a North-South Corridor in the middle of the courtyard, which leads directly to the main hall. There are stone pigs and stone sheep sculptures on both sides of the corridor, arranged symmetrically. Three wing rooms are built on both sides of the corridor.

There are two stone lions squatting in front of the gate. They are very dignified. The plaque of "Ouyang Wenzhong ancestral hall" above the lintel is inscribed by Ouyang Zhongshi, a famous calligrapher and descendant of Ouyang Xiu.
Central Hall
Inside the central hall, there are the Ming Dynasty "Song Taishi Ouyang Wenzhong Gong's tomb" and the sacrificial tablets of Su Shi, Su Zhe, Zeng Gong and Wang Anshi.
Main hall and east west side hall
Hall also known as worship hall, a total of 3. There is a warm Pavilion, a memorial tablet, a god curtain, a table, a tin censer and a pair of tin candlesticks. Inside the hall, there is a sitting statue of Ouyang Xiu's official clothes, and the four walls are painted with vivid murals of Ouyang Xiu's life. There is an altar in front of the hall. There is a stone statue of civil servants standing on the left and right in front of the altar. There are more than 40 stone tablets of song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties in the cemetery, among which Su Shi wrote "Shendao tablet", with tall pines and cypresses and evergreen all the year round.

In the East Hall, there is Su Shi's majestic grass Ouyang Xiuwen's story of the drunken man Pavilion, and 22 inscriptions and postscripts by celebrities of all ages.
Tombs
The tomb is located in the north of the ancestral hall, mainly composed of the tombs of Ouyang Xiu, his wife Xue and his descendants.
Ouyang tomb, about 5 meters high, about 15 meters in circumference, side by side, on the right side of the tomb of Mrs. Xue. The scale of Ouyang Xiu's tomb is large. There are lots of Steles and towering ancient buildings in the cemetery. It's sunny after the rain. The fog is rising like smoke and rain. The scenery is spectacular. Known as "Ou Fen Yan Yu", it is one of the eight ancient sceneries in Xinzheng.
Four corners of the cemetery
There are "zuiwang Pavilion", "fengle Pavilion", "Peony Pavilion" and "Zhimei Pavilion" in the four corners of the cemetery. On the west side of the cemetery are many steles left by celebrities of past dynasties when they visited Ouyang Xiu.
The formation of Mausoleum
Ouyang Xiu is an outstanding writer, historian and politician in the Northern Song Dynasty, especially his literary achievements shocked the literary world. He is known as the leader of the ancient prose movement in the Northern Song Dynasty, the literary school of a generation, and one of the "eight great writers of the Tang and Song Dynasties". In 1072, he died in the private residence of Yingzhou (now Fuyang, Anhui Province). At the age of 66, he presented the title to the crown prince and his master Wenzhong and pursued the title of Duke Yan.
In 1075, Ouyang Xiu was buried in the capital of Kaifeng. According to the relevant regulations of the Song Dynasty, his children and grandchildren were buried here one after another, gradually forming the family tombs of Ouyang Xiu. In front of Ouyang Xiu's tomb, a temple was built, which is called "Oufen Temple" and "Ouyang Temple", so the village got its name from the temple. Mausoleum originally beautiful shape, North Hill Fu, rolling hills, South gullies, streams murmur. The cemetery is solemn, with numerous steles, towering ancient cypresses, lush, sunny after rain, fog rising, smoke like rain, and spectacular scenery. It has the reputation of "smoky rain in Oufen" and is one of the eight ancient landscapes in Xinzheng.
Protection
The Euclidean mausoleum was seriously damaged during the "great leap forward" and "Cultural Revolution" in 1958. Pines and cypresses were felled, steles were lost, and walls collapsed. In 1994, with the support of the government and relevant people, it was renovated. In 2000, it was announced as a key cultural relics protection unit in Henan Province by Henan Provincial Bureau of cultural relics, and on May 26, 2006, it was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
Personage introduction
Ouyang Xiu (1007-1072), the word Yongshu, No. drunk. The outstanding statesman, litterateur, historian and epigraphist in the middle of Northern Song Dynasty, one of the famous "eight masters of Tang and Song Dynasty", had a far-reaching influence in the Northern Song Dynasty and even in the history of China. Ouyang Xiu, a native of Ji'an, Jiangxi Province, was born in Mianyang, Sichuan Province, grew up in Suizhou, Hubei Province, died in Yingzhou, Anhui Province, and was finally buried in Ouyang temple village, Xindian Town, Xinzheng, Henan Province, where many of his descendants were also buried.
Ouyang Xiu actively supported the political innovation movement of Fan Zhongyan and Wang Anshi in politics, and actively advocated the ancient prose movement in literature, which shocked the literary world at that time with his new style of writing and superb artistic attainments. Ouyang Xiu wrote a lot of books in his life, including 153 volumes of collected works, as well as classics and history works such as new Tang Dynasty book, new history of the Five Dynasties and the original meaning of Mao poetry.
Traffic tips
The scenic spot is located in ouyangsi village, Xindian Town, Xinzheng City. You can take No.3 bus from the city to Xindian street, and the taxi fare in the city is about 15 yuan. Self driving: go northward from Xinzheng City along Xinmi highway to Xindian street, about 11 km, about 20 minutes. Starting from Zhengzhou: from Xinzheng Xiguan of national highway 107, go west to Xinmi road and go north to Xindian street; from Zhengxin road to the urban area, go north along Xinmi road and Xindian street; starting from the city: the scenic spot is located in ouyangsi village, Xindian Town, Xinzheng City. You can take bus No.3 from the urban area to Xindian street and get off. The taxi cost in the urban area is about 15 yuan.
