Guanju Palace

Guanju palace is one of the back palaces in Shenyang Palace Museum.

Guanju palace is one of the "five Chongde palaces" in Shenyang Imperial Palace.

During the reign of emperor Taiji of the Qing Dynasty, he lived in the East Palace in the Imperial Palace District of Shenyang, second only to the middle palace, because he loved her very much. Taking the allusion of the book of songs, this paper uses the first poem of Han civilization to record love: "Guan Guan Ju Jiu, on the river island, gentle and fair lady, the gentleman is fond of her", and gives it the name of Guan Ju palace, so as to express the deep love for Hai Lanzhu.

In the imperial palace of Shenyang during the Taiji reign of Emperor Taizong of the Qing Dynasty, there were the so-called "Chongde five palaces" of empresses and concubines. These five palaces were the middle palace, the Qingning palace, the East Palace, the Guanju palace, the West Palace, the Linzhi palace, the second East Palace, the Yanqing palace, and the second West Palace, the Yongfu palace. In addition to the central palace and Qingning palace, there were six palaces in the inner court palace area during the Huangtaiji period. Four of them are located on the East and west sides of the front of Qingning palace. They are the dormitories of the four imperial concubines who were granted by the Jin Dynasty after Chongde was changed to the Yuan Dynasty. They are Guanju palace in the East Palace, ChenFei palace in the West Palace, Linzhi palace in the West Palace, Shufei palace in the second East Palace, and Yongfu palace in the second West Palace. The architectural styles of the four palaces are almost the same, all of which are of the corridor style with five hard mountain glazed tile roofs. It should be mentioned that although the architectural style and decoration level of the four palaces are the same, from the actual situation, according to the location of the palaces, the status of their owners is still different. Specifically speaking, the East is higher than the west, and the north is higher than the south, that is, the East Palace has the highest status, the second and second West Palace, the third and last West Palace.

The status of Empresses of Chongde five palaces is much higher than that of other concubines. There are 15 imperial concubines of Huang Taiji in historical records, and many others are not.

Among these concubines, there is no lack of natural beauty. However, Huang Taiji only loves Hai Lanzhu, Chen's concubine, and pours all the feelings between husband and wife into her.

Hai Lanzhu was 26 years old when she married Huang Taiji, not in her infancy. At this time, Huang Taiji had passed his forties and was 16 years older than Chen Fei. They were inseparable and fell in love. Huang Taiji named her "Donggong dafujin", second only to the queen, ranking first among the four imperial concubines. The eastern palace is also named "Guanju Palace" because there is a poem in the book of songs that "Guanju dove, on the river island, is gentle and fair, and the gentleman is fond of it".

Hai Lanzhu was born with a son, the eighth son of Huang Taiji, who was treated as the crown prince as soon as he was born. Huang Taiji also issued the first amnesty order of the Qing Dynasty, which was celebrated everywhere.

In the past, other concubines of Huangtaiji had seven sons born, and later two sons were born. Huangtaiji did not express anything.

The eighth emperor died before he was one year old, and Hai Lanzhu became depressed and ill.

When imperial concubine Chen was dying, Huang Taiji was directing the battle on the Songshan battlefield. When he learned that imperial concubine Chen was critically ill, he immediately left the most important Songjin battlefield and rushed back to Shengjing day and night. Because of the cold weather, he was in a hurry and ran to death five horses. When he entered the Guanju palace, Princess Chen had already driven back to yaochi. She was 33 years old at the end of the year. Huang Taiji was so sad that he lost sleep and food, and even passed out. After emergency treatment, he gradually came back to life. In order to express his mourning for his concubine, Huang Taiji held a grand funeral for his concubine Chen, and gave them the posthumous titles of Min Huigong and Yuan imperial concubine, which are the most words in the posthumous titles of concubines in the Qing Dynasty. Not only that, the imperial concubine of the Yuan Dynasty represented the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty. Huang Taiji already regards Hai Lanzhu as her first wife.

Less than two years after Hai Lanzhu's death, Huang Taiji was ordered to return to Jiuquan. Huang Taiji's sincere love for Chen Fei is rare among emperors of all dynasties.
