Dali Road
Dali road is a street in the Fifth Avenue area of Heping District, Tianjin, China. It was built in 1926 and was originally Singapore road in the British concession of Tianjin. It is 1745 meters long from Xinhua Road in the northeast and Xikang Road in the southwest. It is parallel to munan road and Changde Road in the north and south. Dalidao area is one of the gathering places of historic buildings in Tianjin, where a large number of former residences of celebrities are located.
Dali road is a landscape road in Heping District, Tianjin, China. It runs from Xinhua South Road in the northeast to Xikang Road in the southwest, with a total length of 1745 meters. Its north and south sides are parallel to munan road and Changde Road respectively. Dali road belongs to the famous Wudao area.
Dali Road, formerly known as Singapore Road, belongs to the British concession in Tianjin and was built in 1929. Dali road used to be a marsh and depression area. After the British concession Industry Bureau obtained the land in 1903, it was filled in 1919-1926 in combination with the Haihe River dredging project to make it suitable for urban construction. The road was built in 1929. Since then, large areas of high-grade residential areas have been rapidly formed on both sides, with good greening and various European architectural styles.
After the Chinese government took over the British concession in Tianjin, it changed it into Dali road.
Cai Chengxun's former residence at 3 and 5 Dali road includes a French Roman style main building and a Chinese style courtyard house.
