Wanqing pawnshop was built in the late Qing Dynasty. The owner of the pawnshop was a banner man. At that time, he was in charge of the royal treasury of the Qing Dynasty and lived in No. 8-14 of Suoyi Hutong on the west side of NanLuoGu lane. Due to the wealth of the family, the nearby residents call it "the king's family". At that time, there were 17 hutongs on the East and west sides of NanLuoGu lane, where 17 senior officials or dignitaries lived in the late Qing Dynasty. Wanqing pawnshop was one of the five pawnshops in the capital at the end of Qing Dynasty. At that time, the poor could not come here to pawn. Wanqing pawnshop declined and closed in the period of the Republic of China. A small room was built in front of the pawnshop to cover the word "Wanqing", and the pawnshop was rented.
