The College of tourism and culture of Yunnan University was established in Lijiang in 2002 and confirmed by the Ministry of education in 2004. The college is located in Lijiang city with a long history and beautiful environment. It is the only undergraduate college in Northwest Yunnan. It aims to adapt to the reform of higher education and cultivate high-level tourism management and related professionals.

School running conditions

Under the snowy Yulong Snow Mountain and the long-standing Jinsha River, the College of tourism and culture of Yunnan University, a plateau university with traditional culture and Yunnan characteristics, is located beside the Ancient Lijiang City and under the majestic Yulong Snow Mountain. The first-class school running conditions, advanced teaching philosophy, open training mode, unique disciplines and specialties, and professional teaching team attract a large number of students from home and abroad for further study. The school of tourism and culture of Yunnan University was held in Lijiang in 2002 according to the new system, new mechanism and new mode, and was approved as an independent college by the Ministry of education in January 2004. As of 2019, the college has 18000 full-time students and trained more than 30000 qualified graduates for the society.

After more than ten years of construction and development, the college has become an independent college with economics, literature, management, art and other disciplines as the main body, multi-disciplinary coordinated development, training high-quality undergraduate application-oriented talents. The college has 7 disciplines including economics, literature, engineering, management, art, science and medicine, 16 first-class disciplines and 35 undergraduate majors. It has initially formed an application-oriented undergraduate professional system that adapts to the needs of local economic and social development and develops in a multi-disciplinary way. We have established mutual visits and cooperation with universities in the United States, France, India, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The campus environment of the college is beautiful, simple and elegant, and the campus architecture with Naxi and Bai styles is unique. It has won the silver award of architectural design of the Ministry of construction of the people's Republic of China, and won the national "Architectural Creation Award for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the people" together with the Great Hall of the people and other well-known buildings. It is the only unit in Yunnan Province that has won this award. The Department of housing and urban rural development of Yunnan Province has awarded the college the "garden list of Yunnan Province" He was selected as one of the top 50 universities in China. Li Ping, male, Han nationality, was born in Kunming. Dean of School of tourism and culture, Yunnan University, with the title of professor.

He has worked as an educated youth, worker and newspaper in the countryside. He graduated from the Department of Chinese language and literature of Yunnan University and stayed in school. He has successively served as student political instructor of Chinese Department, teacher of classical literature teaching and research section (concurrently Secretary of general League branch), teaching secretary and deputy director of the Department, deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office of Yunnan University, Secretary of the Party branch directly under the International College of modern design and art of Yunnan University and vice president of the Chinese side, organization director of the Party committee of Yunnan University, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Yunnan University, and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of Yunnan University (concurrently Secretary of Yangpu campus) Secretary of the Party Working Committee), commander of Yangpu campus relocation headquarters, consultant of Chenggong campus construction headquarters. He retired from Yunnan University in December 2011. On September 21, 2015, he was employed as the dean of School of tourism and culture of Yunnan University.

Qi Shunhua, male, Hui nationality, is a native of Zhaotong, Yunnan Province. He has a master's degree and started work in July 1992. He has successively served as secretary of the general League branch, Secretary of the general Party branch, head teacher and Secretary of the student Party branch of the Department of biology of Yunnan University, deputy secretary of the general Party branch, director of the Party committee office and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of the College of Life Sciences and chemistry, deputy director of the personnel department, deputy director of the Organization Department of the Party committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of Yunnan University, Director of the personnel department of Yunnan University, retired office, Secretary of the Party committee, director of the personnel department of Yunnan University, deputy secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and director of the office of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Yunnan University. He is now the Secretary of the Party committee of the school of tourism and culture of Yunnan University (supervisor).

Vice President

Zhang yunsun, male, born in June 1957, Bai nationality, from Jianchuan County, Dali, Yunnan Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China and a professor. In 1985, he graduated from Yunnan University with a master's degree in ecology. From 1987 to 1996, he was teaching secretary of Department of biology, Yunnan University. From 1991 to 1997, he was employed as visiting scholar and visiting professor of Washington State University. Since 1997, he has successively served as deputy director of Department of biology, vice president of School of life science and chemistry, director of science and Technology Department, director of Science Museum, vice chairman of Association for science and technology, assistant to President, director of key discipline office, director of scientific research department, director of foreign cooperation office and vice chairman of Association for science and technology. During the period, he successively held temporary posts as assistant to the president of Shanghai University and Deputy Secretary of Chengjiang County CPC Committee. Professor Zhang yunsun has made outstanding achievements in the research of gene structure and function. He has been praised as "the son of the Orient" by CCTV Oriental time and space program. He also praised Professor Zhang yunsun's excellent qualities of hard work, tenacity and ignorance of fame and wealth, highlighting a noble person.

 

Vice President

Liu Chun, born in October 1956, graduated from Yunnan University with a bachelor's degree in history in 1984. He studied in the teaching assistant training class of the Institute of history of Beijing Normal University from 1986 to 1987. From August 1984 to October 2002, he successively taught in the Department of history and the Department of Anthropology of Yunnan University. In 2013, he won the title of associate professor. Since October 2002, he has been teaching in the Institute of tourism and culture and has been in charge of teaching management. He has been the director of the Department of tourism management since 2003, the director of the art department since the second half of 2006, and the vice president of the college since 2012. In 2012, it won the title of "advanced individual" in teaching management of colleges and universities in Yunnan Province.

Qian Jinzhen, a second-class professor and master's supervisor, graduated from West China Medical University and worked in Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Dali University successively. He has presided over 7 scientific research projects and won 2 national invention patents. He won one first prize of teaching reform achievement of Yunnan provincial government and two second prizes of Yunnan provincial government. One third prize of science and technology progress award of Yunnan Province, one excellent education achievement award of Yunnan Higher Education Association, one provincial health science and technology achievement award, one Dali publishing award and one Dali science and technology progress award. More than 60 articles and 9 books have been published. He once served as vice president of Dali University, member of pharmacy branch of Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, consultant of western education, vice president of Yunnan Medical Association, vice director of drug Expert Committee of Yunnan food and drug administration, vice chairman of Yunnan Medical Association, vice chairman of Yunnan health science and Education Association, expert of Yunnan Science and technology award, member of Professor evaluation committee, etc. He won the award of "professional and technical talents with outstanding contributions from Yunnan provincial government".

Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and vice president

Cui Wenbin, born in July 1956 in Pingdu, Shandong Province, is of Han nationality. In 1974, he joined the army and served in the air force. He successively served as a soldier, platoon chief, staff officer, chief of operations, head of command post, assistant chief of staff, chief of staff of Air Force Aviation Division, chief of staff of a certain air force department, and senior colonel. He participated in the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam and the "802" North China exercise, and won the third class merit five times. He has a bachelor's degree and a bachelor's degree in military science. In 2006, he retired and transferred to Yunnan University. He successively served as deputy director of Management Committee and director of Student Affairs Office of Yangpu campus of Yunnan University, director of relocation Headquarters Office of Yangpu campus of Yunnan University, Secretary of general Party branch of Management Committee of Chenggong campus of Yunnan University, director of armed forces department and deputy director of Student Affairs Department of Yunnan University, and director of military theory teaching and research section.
