The discovery center of Taipei is located in Taipei, Taiwan. It used to be the "Municipal Library". In its early days, Taipei Discovery Museum was a municipal information exhibition hall under the Information Department of Taipei municipal government. It was founded in 1994,

Then, in 2000, it was updated and repositioned to take on the dual responsibilities of social education and municipal propaganda, and provide the functions of collection, research, exhibition, education and leisure, so as to promote the achievements of science and technology education, history education, art education and municipal construction. In May 2002, it was approved by the Municipal Council of Taipei municipal government, officially opening the "Municipal Information exhibition hall" It was renamed "Taipei Museum of exploration", which was officially completed and opened at the end of that year, known as the first city museum in Taiwan. There are only two discovery theaters in the Taipei Discovery Museum in the world, which are more attractive. The 360 degree large screen, lighting, sound effects and computer special effects are amazing, creating a scene similar to that seen in the real environment. There are three films in the discovery theater, namely "city life", "city life" and "city imagination":

September 1994: the municipal library was officially opened to the public.
