Daguanlou cinema
Daguanlou cinema was built in the late Qing Dynasty. In 1905, the original "dahengxuan teahouse" was renamed "Daguanlou cinema garden", which was one of the earliest fixed film screening places in Nancheng. On January 22, 2005, the demonstration meeting of Daguanlou cinema, the Centennial commemoration of the birthplace of Chinese film, was held. The leaders of SARFT, the Propaganda Department of the municipal Party committee, the Municipal Bureau of radio, film and television, the Municipal Bureau of culture and Xuanwu District government attended the meeting and spoke. The leaders at the meeting congratulated Daguanlou as the birthplace of Chinese film and proposed the establishment of "the first Hall of Chinese film". In April 2005, the "expert review meeting on the decoration design of Daguanlou, the birthplace of Chinese films" was held. Experts from ancient architecture, Planning Bureau and film professionals were invited to work out a specific plan for the purpose, binding, function, orientation, form and scale of the renovation of Daguanlou.
On February 13, 2018, the Beijing Municipal Tourism Commission announced the results of the 2017 review of the quality level of A-level tourist attractions in Beijing, and Daguanlou cinema was disqualified from the 3A level tourist attractions. The main problems include poor management of smoking behavior in non-smoking areas, cigarette butts found on the floor and in the dustbin of the projection room, disorderly stacking of articles, stacking of flammable materials such as cartons beside the electrical equipment in the projection room, stacking of debris in the safe evacuation passage, uneven ground and potential safety hazards.
Development history
In 1905, the original "dahengxuan teahouse" was renamed "Daguanlou cinema garden", which was one of the earliest fixed film screening places in Nancheng. Ren Jingfeng was the boss, and concurrently engaged in the business of "Fengtai photo studio", "Chinese and Western pharmacy" and "woodwork shop". In the same year, Ren Jingfeng filmed the opera film "Dingjun mountain" starring Tan Xinpei. In order to celebrate the 60th birthday of Mr. Tan Xinpei, the master of Peking Opera, they co produced China's first drama film "Dingjun mountain", which was shown in Daguanlou in the same year.
Dingjun mountain is the earliest national film made and shown by Chinese people.
In 1907, it was changed into "Daguanlou cinema", and the first film shown was "leprosy girl".
In 1913, the "Daguanlou cinema garden" in Dashilan street outside Qianmen was renamed "Daguanlou cinema", which was rebuilt and officially opened. From then on, there was the first professional cinema opened and operated by Chinese people in Beijing at that time.
In January 1927, the grand view building outside the front gate was reopened.
On August 1, 1930, the grand view building was first built in Nancheng with men and women sitting together, which caused a sensation in the Cinemas at that time, indicating the relatively open management consciousness of the operators.
In 1935, the equipment was transformed and the French pathi 35mm sound projector was installed.
On February 7, 1941, the grand view building was reopened again and transformed into a better medium-sized cinema in Nancheng.
In March 1945, the equipment was updated and the fixed projector of roia < 35mm was used. It was promoted to the main wheel cinema.
On October 3, 1945, eight cinemas including Daguanlou showed "World War II news films" at the same time, and some domestic films with certain influence at that time were also shown one after another. There are also performances of Quyi and drama, such as you Guangzhao, Ma Sanli, Zhao Peiru, Chang Baokun, Liu Baoquan, Xi Cailian, xiaomushu and other well-known figures.
In October 1945, Daguanlou and eight cinemas, including Zhenguang, Ruike, changong, Asian guild hall, Xinxin, Tongle and Zhonghe, were the first to jointly show.
In January 1955, Daguanlou, as a pilot project for the transformation of private capitalism, took the lead in implementing public-private partnership. After the public-private joint venture, cinemas will implement a planned economy, which basically means that the film companies will pay in all the projection income according to the proportion of what films are arranged and what films are shown in cinemas.
On July 17, 1992, Daguanlou was rated as "first class cinema" by Beijing Municipal Bureau of culture.
On February 16, 1998, Daguanlou became a group member of Beijing film distribution and projection Association.
In February 1998, Daguanlou was awarded "the civilized unit of Xuanwu District in 1997" by the Spiritual Civilization Construction Committee of Xuanwu District.
In March 1999, Daguanlou was awarded the "best activity award of Daguanlou cup essay solicitation activity for watching patriotic films and being a good youth in the new era" by Xuanwu District spiritual civilization Committee.
In January 2000, Daguanlou was rated as "two Star Cinema" by Beijing Municipal Bureau of culture.
In March 2001, Daguanlou was awarded the "civilized unit of Xuanwu District in 2000" by Xuanwu District spiritual civilization Committee.
In 2002, Juan, director of "Western Mirror", starring Xia Yu, came to the grand view building to attend the premiere ceremony.
On November 18, 2004, one of the activities to commemorate the birthplace of Chinese film was to build a statue of Mr. Ren Jingfeng in Daguanlou cinema. China Urban Cinema Development Association issued the "proposal on subsidizing the establishment of the statue of Ren Jingfeng, a pioneer of national films".

Features of scenic spots
Daguanlou cinema, founded in 1905, is one of the early cinemas in China. Dingjunshan, the first Chinese film made by Ren Jingfeng, the first manager of Daguanlou cinema, was shown in Daguanlou.
