Zhonghutiao gorge is located in Shangri La Hutiao Gorge Scenic Spot, which is a national AAAA scenic spot. Zhonghutiao is located between Hetaoyuan village in Hutiaoxia town of Shangri La and local Bay Village, sandwiched between Yulong Snow Mountain and Haba snow mountain. It is the second deepest Grand Canyon in China (with a drop of 3800m), second only to Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon (with a drop of 5300m). Among them, the famous Tiger Leaping stone is located in the river of Hetaoyuan village in the Tiger Leaping scenic area. It is said that the tiger can use this stone as a springboard to travel between the two sides.

Introduction to scenic spots

Shangri la Tiger Leaping Gorge Scenic Spot is divided into upper Tiger Leaping scenic spot, middle Tiger Leaping scenic spot and lower Tiger Leaping scenic spot. Affected by the two major factors of safety and traffic, the Tiger Leaping Gorge mentioned by the general travel agencies and most of the strategies is the upper Tiger Leaping Gorge. Since 2011, shanghutiao scenic area has built a parking lot and plank road for tourists to visit.

But in fact, the real tiger leaping stone is located in the river section under the jurisdiction of Hetaoyuan village in the middle tiger leaping. In this area, we can see the obvious drop, and the river is pouring down.

From shanghutiao to zhonghutiao, it takes about 15 minutes to walk along the hillside highway. Along the way, you can not only hear the surging river water, but also see the majestic and spectacular Yulong Snow Mountain. The nearly 90 degree black rock is more than 3000 meters from the top to the bottom, which makes people sigh at the uncanny workmanship of nature. However, self driving friends need to be careful of falling rocks at any time. They must drive carefully. Novices should not go up.

Because zhonghutiao is undeveloped, it has been maintained by local villages.

Zhonghu jump is a world famous hiking route for lovers, which takes about 2 hours. Generally, the starting point is under Mr. Zhang's Inn (located in the local Bay Village),

It's 15 yuan here. Next to the river, there is a big stone lying in the middle of the river. Tourists can take photos on the stones on the suspension bridge with tickets. There is the word "tiger leaping in the middle" on the big stone.

After taking photos, tourists can choose the same way to return, or pay 10 yuan to climb the brave ladder of local bay village to return to the parking lot of Mr. Zhang's Inn.

You can also choose to cross the gully and pass the wooden bridge to the area under the jurisdiction of Hetaoyuan village, where you have to pay another 15 yuan. Not far along the mountain road by the river is the location of the real tiger leaping stone. Affected by the erosion of the river and the wind, the stone is getting smaller and smaller. You need to pay an extra 10 yuan to take photos on the bridge, or you can take photos at the stone on the upstream of the Tiger Leaping stone, but it is more dangerous in the rainy season. Then climb the ladder back to the road. There is no charge for the ladder here. At this time, Congratulations, you have finished the whole process of Zhonghu jump. After returning to the road, you can walk along the road for about 15 minutes to return to Mr. Zhang's Inn parking lot.
