Yongfengku Ruins Park
The yongfengku ruins park project starts from Zhongshan West Road in the south, ends at military dormitory in Fuqiao street in the north, connects Drum Tower and Drum Tower commercial pedestrian block in the west, and adjoins caijianong in the East. The project covers an area of 6126 square meters. The main construction contents include about 1990 square meters of site reproduction, 132 square meters of exhibition and management buildings and other ancillary buildings, and 2140 square meters of new greening and landscape structures.
brief introduction
The construction period is about six months, and we will strive to complete the project by the end of this year and open it to the public. They will also limit the route of visitors in the form of plank road on the copied site, and gradually guide visitors to the display of Yongfeng library. Through the continuation of the exhibition, the drum tower has become an important part of the Heritage Park.
history
700 years can turn the sea into a mulberry field, but it can't annihilate this period of history; 700 years can make the sea wither and the rocks crumble, but the cornerstone is still intact. Builders, who have been separated by more than 700 years in time and space, have had a unique dialogue here. Through history, the reporter seems to see the busy and tense situation in the warehouse at that time.
When building commercial and residential buildings, important sites were found, and the municipal government offered 60 million yuan to buy them back
After entering the new century, Ningbo property market is extremely hot, attracting investors from all over the world. In 2001, Ningbo Kanglaite Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., invested by French Chinese entrepreneurs, took a fancy to the "golden treasure land" located in the east of the drum tower within the scope of the former Ningbo Municipal Public Security Bureau, and prepared to invest more than 200 million yuan for development to build a high-end commercial and residential building "Zicheng garden".
According to relevant laws and regulations, archaeological exploration must be carried out before development. On September 10, 2001, the Department of cultural relics officially began to carry out archaeology on the site. This is the city of Ningbo
The southeast of Zicheng site of Tang and Song Dynasties, which occupies an important position in the history of development.
Shock: huge architectural sites
Chu Xiaobo, director of the Municipal Cultural Protection Institute, who participated in the archaeological work, recalled that there were some accidents and new discoveries every day. However, the target of the archaeological team was not Yongfeng reservoir, but to find the wall of Zicheng. After layers of excavation, they successively unearthed row after row of square groove footstones and brick wall foundations under the strata of Ming Dynasty. Because the arrangement and combination of these footstones and wall bases are very strange, they don't look like walls at all, which makes the archaeologists feel at a loss. In order to find out, the team members boarded a building on the east side of the site and looked down at the whole site. They were stunned: the outline line formed by intermittent square groove footstones and brick walls clearly showed that they belonged to a huge rectangular single building.
Excitement: a large number of relics have been unearthed
Speaking of this, Chu Xiaobo is still very excited, because in the next few days, they also successively explored some important relics, such as: a regular brick corridor (that is, the passage in the middle of the courtyard), exquisite "Fangsheng" pattern in the middle of the road, traces of brick floor, and so on; A well preserved river course with a length of more than 30 meters and a width of 3 meters in a north-south direction and neatly stacked with stones is likely to be Fudong moat. Subsequently, after a period of large-scale clean-up, in the East, South and west of the single building base site, the wall base remains with a length of 62 meters from east to west and a width of more than 21 meters from north to South were successively found. At the same time, the local strata of the site are almost piles of broken porcelain.
Discussion: government's resolute investment in buy back
In the blink of an eye, it was time for the agreed excavation deadline, and the developers began to urge the archaeology to end as soon as possible, and they were ready to enter the site for construction. This makes Chu Xiaobo and the archaeological team very anxious: the development means that such a rare cultural heritage will be destroyed by reinforced concrete in the roar of pile drivers. To this end, they resolutely reported to the then Ningbo Municipal Bureau of culture (now the Bureau of culture, radio, television, press and Publication). After all, this is a major project involving hundreds of millions of yuan of investment. For the sake of prudence, the Bureau of culture organized experts on cultural relics and Archaeology in Ningbo and experts on cultural relics, archaeology and ancient architecture in Zhejiang Province to "consult" on the site. On December 23, 2001, Xu Pingfang, a famous archaeologist, and experts from Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of cultural relics and Institute of archaeology carefully listened to the report on the excavation work. After carefully examining the archaeological excavation site, they agreed that a complete, large-scale and unique architectural site of the Yuan Dynasty has been excavated, which is extremely rare in the country. The discovery of this site is the only architectural site of the Yuan Dynasty that can be preserved in the process of urban development in Ningbo, and has preserved a rare example for the national archaeological excavation of the song and Yuan Dynasties. At the same time, in view of the rich connotation of the site, experts suggest that it should be properly protected.
According to the expert's suggestion, the municipal government decided to suspend the real estate development project decisively, invested 60 million yuan to buy back the plot, and the municipal finance allocated a special fund for the comprehensive excavation of the site.
The warehouse site is the most important urban archaeological discovery in Ningbo
Chu Xiaobo and his colleagues began to excavate the yongfengku site on March 8, 2002.
135 days later, the archaeologists unearthed more than 3500 square meters of building sites in song, yuan and Ming Dynasties, which are relatively complete in layout, with two single building sites as the core and connected with brick roads, courtyards, drainage facilities, wells and rivers. More than 800 complete or recoverable cultural relics have been unearthed, which is the most important urban archaeological site in Ningbo so far The discovery.
Stoppage of excavation to protect the site
In shock, Chu began to look through a large number of historical materials, trying to find the answer from the pile of old papers. After a search, they found that the historical changes of the area were recorded in detail, which provided an important reference for judging the nature of the site. According to the records of Baoqing Siming annals of the Southern Song Dynasty, the excavation area is basically consistent with the location of Changping warehouse at that time, so the platform foundation of Song Dynasty should be Changping warehouse foundation; according to the records of Yuan Zhizheng annals, the location of Yongfeng warehouse of Yuan Dynasty is Changping warehouse Foundation of Song Dynasty. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the layout, scale, architectural structure and a large number of exported ceramics, it can be inferred that the two single building sites are yongfengku site. The records of Ningbo county annals of Chenghua in Ming Dynasty also show that this area was the location of changpingcang, yongfengku and hongjiku from Southern Song Dynasty to Ming Dynasty. Chu Xiaobo said that in order to protect the most complete yongfengku site of the Yuan Dynasty, archaeologists did not continue to dig down.
More than 800 cultural relics have been unearthed
Yesterday, Chu Xiaobo pointed to an area at the scene and told reporters that a large area of well preserved brick floor had been cleaned up, forming an open-air courtyard covering an area of more than 1200 square meters. Judging from the excavation, the corridor and floor were seriously worn, and many repair marks were found, indicating that they were used frequently and lasted for a long time, which reminds people of the busy scene of Yongfeng library at that time. There is also a polygonal well in the northeast of the courtyard, with early brick in the lower part and late stone brick in the upper part. In addition, brick or stone drainage ditches were found around the courtyard, and the ditches in all directions eventually converged and led to the river.
A large number of cultural relics were found during the excavation, most of which were porcelain pieces, and a small number of Tang and song coins, among which more than 800 complete or recoverable cultural relics were unearthed. In particular, the unearthed porcelain collected the products of five of the six famous kilns in the song and Yuan Dynasties. In song and Yuan Dynasties, a kind of shadow celadon and white porcelain pieces produced in Fujian accounted for more than half of the quantity, which exceeded the local Yue Kiln products. In addition, the precious Tang Dynasty Persian peacock blue glazed pottery was found, which is another important discovery after the discovery of Persian peacock blue glazed pottery in Fuzhou and Yangzhou. "These are all national treasures!" Chu Xiaobo said.
There are still many mysteries to be solved in this Yuan Dynasty site
What was the purpose of this warehouse at that time? According to Chu Xiaobo, the main duty of Yongfeng warehouse in Yuan Dynasty was to collect taxes and fine. This also explains why a large number of ceramics and coins were found in it.
Chu Xiaobo said that the discovery of yongfengku site is of great historical and practical significance. It is the first large-scale warehouse site found in ancient local cities in China, and it is also the first large-scale Yuan Dynasty site found in Jiangnan. From the analysis of the grandeur, layout integrity and functional diversity of its single building, it is worthy of being the first warehouse in ancient Chinese cities.
At the same time, the architectural remains unearthed from yongfengku site are unique in structure, which reflects the structural characteristics of the warehouse in Yuan Dynasty. They are new examples of accessory building structure found in China, and are of great value to the study of Chinese ancient architectural history. However, Chu Xiaobo revealed that there are still many unsolved mysteries in the warehouse: for example, if the function of the square trough is due to the erection of wooden columns or stone columns, there is no trace of sawdust in the filling of the square trough; there are no abandoned wooden columns or stone column components unearthed in the whole site. Another even number Bay problem. Although there are some records and examples of Double Bay buildings in early Chinese buildings, after Sui and Tang Dynasties, especially in official buildings, there were three, five, seven and nine Bay buildings Even more odd number rooms dominate the world, while one of the single building sites inside is the four rooms. In addition, how to restore the ground part and where to open the doors and windows? Although some restoration ideas have been made, there is still no final conclusion in the academic circles.
It is with such high protection value that there are so many mysteries to be solved. because
