Fu Jen University of Taiwan

Fu Jen University is a Catholic University directly under the Ministry of education of the Holy See. In 1925, it was founded by the Benedictine Church of the United States in Beijing. At the beginning, it set up a university preparatory program called "Fu Ren society". In 1927, the Beiyang Government approved the pilot program, and officially changed the name of the university to Fu Ren University. After the national government unified the whole country, it submitted a petition to the Ministry of education to establish Eucalyptus in 1929. In 1952, it was merged into Beijing Normal University due to the adjustment of its departments. At present, Beijing Furen campus is located in Dingfu Street (Furen campus of Beijing Normal University) and Beijing Furen Alumni Association. In 1949, the Ministry of Education approved the resumption of schools in Taiwan. In 1961, the Institute of philosophy enrolled students. In 1963, the University set up three colleges and ten departments.

Fu Jen University was founded in the fourteenth year of the Republic of China. It will be the 80th anniversary of its founding. Since its resumption in Taiwan in the fiftieth year of the Republic of China, there have been nearly 120000 alumni at home and abroad.

Fu Jen University of Taiwan

Fu Jen Catholic University (fjcu), directly under the Vatican Vatican Ministry of education, is a world-famous research university. Historical evolution

Peiping period

In the first year of the Republic of China, two famous Chinese Catholics, Mr. Dantu Ma Xiangbo and Mr. yinglianzhi of Beiping, were invited to set up a Catholic University in China to carry forward Chinese culture and introduce world knowledge. Since there were only two Catholic universities in China, they wrote to the Vatican, and asked Gao deshuo to set up a Catholic University in China.

In the eighth year of the Republic of China, the Vatican sent representatives to China to investigate the situation of church education. In its report, the shortage of higher public education institutions was also mentioned. The following year, Dr. George Barry O'Toole o. He went to Rome to pay a visit to the Pope. He also visited the Minister of mission of the Holy See to explain his reasons. He also met with Dr. Rev. Fidelis von stotzingen, the head of the Benedictine church, for help. When Pope Pius Xi was elected pope, he told Benedictine church to do it immediately, and donated 100000 yuan to promote it. On August 7, 2012, the Benedictine Church of the United States held a meeting in accordance with the instructions, and decided to entrust St. Vincent's house of Pennsylvania（ St.Vincent President Aurelius Stehle is in charge.

In January of the 14th year, father otul, the founder of the chairman committee of Steller, came to China in January to set up a public education university in the old taubele Prefecture. First, there was a class of preparatory courses (Sinology) called "Fu Ren society", and yinglianzhi was employed as the president. Yinglianzhi died of overwork in January of the 15th year. The affairs of the University were presided over by Mr. Chen Yuan. After Chen Yuan took over the post, he actively expanded the equipment, organized the board of directors in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of education, and employed ottol as the president, with Chen Yuan as the vice president. In June of 2016, he submitted to the pilot University (liberal arts - Chinese, history, philosophy, English), officially named Fu Jen University.

In June of the 18th year, Furen established 11 departments (Chinese, English, history, social sciences, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, education, psychology and Philosophy) and fine arts majors in three colleges (Arts, science and education). The board of directors was reorganized and submitted to the Ministry of education for filing, with Mr. Chen Yuan as the president.

In nineteen years, the new school building of taobaile South College was completed, including laboratory, library, classroom, office and dormitory. Taking the new school building as the University Department, the attached men's middle school was set up in the original site, and another building was built in taipingcang, Xicheng. In the 21st year, the women's middle school was set up. At that time, the scale had already taken shape, and the school administrators, such as President Chen Yuan, Dean and Dean of the school of science Otto, Dean Liu Fu, Secretary General Ying Qianli, Dean of the school of Arts Shen Jianshi, Dean of the school of education Zhang Huai, were all well-known scholars in the academic circles.

Twenty two years ago, the international economic panic and the devaluation of the school's fund made it difficult for Benedictine to continue. In August of that year, the Vatican sent the society of divine word to take over, with its chief executive, RT. Rev. Joseph Grendel, as its supervisor, Dr. fr. X. Murphy as its Dean, and Dr. stepuan richarz as its Dean. After the death of Mr. Liu Fu, he was replaced by Dr. Henry Kroes. In the 24th year, he accepted the entrustment of the Holy See to set up the Chinese Catholic priest's Institute for further study. He purchased the former site of Prince Gong's mansion on the east side of the campus, covering an area of more than 100 mu, and established the "priest's College". In the past 26 years, the Institute of serum, Chinese language and history for the prevention of typhus was established.

After the July 7 Incident, Beiping fell into Japan. Because of international relations, the school was able to maintain the status quo and continue ethnic education.

In the 27th year, the first grade female students in the mathematics section of the departments of Arts and education and the Mathematics Department of the College of science were recruited and managed by the nuns of the Holy Spirit. In the past 28 years, Jiali College received first-year girls from other departments, established the Department of home economics, and built additional classrooms and student dormitories. The Presbyterian Academy was moved to a new building in the north of Prince Gong's mansion, and the original site of the Academy was changed to the women's Department of the University.

Over the past 30 years, the relationship between the United States and Japan has deteriorated, and American staff have been withdrawn one after another and replaced by German staff. Since the Pacific War, except for a small number of American staff who were detained in the concentration camp, the school affairs were carried out as usual. Thirty one years later, Secretary General Ying Qianli, discipline Director Fu KaiPeng and colleagues of Fu University were arrested and jailed for anti Japanese activities. In April of the next year, he was released for lack of evidence. In the 33rd year, he was born and recovered to fight against the enemy's "serious crimes" and was sentenced for 15 years. Fourteen of them were Ying Qianli, Zhang Huai, Dong Xifan and Ying Chunliang.

After the victory, in view of the arduous spirit of the school during the Anti Japanese War, the Ministry of education granted the student status of auxiliary college students during the period of the Japanese occupation without examination. In the autumn of 1955, an agricultural college was set up. After the liberation of Peking in 1949, Harold Rigney, the dean of Peking University, was arrested. In 1950, the Ministry of Education officially took over the post. In 1952, Furen University was reorganized into one of Beijing Normal University, and the University was closed.

Taking a comprehensive view of Peiping Furen University, from Furen society in the fourteenth year of the Republic of China to the liberation of Peiping in January 1949, the Department of education was expanded from preparatory to four colleges, and the number of students was expanded from 24 to more than 3000 at the beginning of 1949.
