It is one of the largest temples in Xinchang. During the reconstruction of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, there was a cave in Nanyan mountain, with a height of 30 meters, a depth of 24 meters and an area of 1400 square meters. In addition, there are many cave landscapes such as Ren Gongzi's diaotai, Huayun cave, Ruxiang cave, Yueyue cave, yunnuji cave, Dishui cave, etc., which are intricate and fascinating. They are surrounded by mountains on three sides, wild on one side, beautiful mountains and clear waters, luxuriant forests and bamboo trees. They are good places for holidays.

There are many praise words for Nanyan by predecessors. Li Shen, a poet of Tang Dynasty, said in his ode to the Dragon Palace: "the traces of the South rock and the sea still exist high and low." Kuaiji Fu, a poem written by ten friends of Song Dynasty, said: "the South rock is rugged and the sea traces are ancient." According to the county annals, "it is said that Dayu controlled the flood, injected sand into the East and formed rocks, and then went down to Haimen." Since it rose from the Bay, Nanyan rock was inlaid with crab shells and shellfish in the sand of the rock wall, and fell one after another. Because of thousands of years of wind and rain erosion, large caves, small caves, strange caves and strange caves have also become the nature of this particular mountain crust.
