Huacheng square

Huacheng square, known as the "city living room" in Guangzhou, is the largest square in Guangzhou. It has been open to the public since October 25, 2010. The Plaza is located in the core node of Zhujiang New Town, the new central axis of Guangzhou City, starting from Xiancun road in the East, Huaxia Road in the west, Huangpu Avenue in the north and Haixinsha in the south.

The total planning area is about 560000 square meters, with more than 600 big trees and ancient trees planted, about two kilometers of walking wooden plank road and more than 15000 square meters of Floating Island Lake. There are 39 buildings in the surrounding area, including the new Guangzhou Library, Guangzhou Grand Theater, Guangdong Provincial Museum, Guangzhou second children's palace, Guangzhou zhoudafu financial center, Guangzhou International Financial Center, etc.

Since 2011, Guangzhou International Lighting Festival has been held in Huacheng square at the end of each year. It is one of the three major lighting festivals in the world, along with France and Sydney. In 2015, UNESCO selected Guangzhou International Lighting festival as a large-scale cultural event of 2015 international light year, and made a special recommendation on the official website of 2015 international light year.

The lighting concert of Huacheng square is held during the Spring Festival every year. With the Guangzhou tower as the center, the night scenes of the two sides of the Pearl River and the new central axis as the background, it links with the live music of Huacheng square, performs large-scale urban lighting performances, and creates a festival visual feast.

New library of Guangzhou Library

The new museum is located in Huacheng square, which is on the edge of the Pearl River and at the intersection of Guangzhou's new central axis and the Pearl River landscape axis. It is open 72 hours a week and is open on holidays as usual. With a total construction area of 100000 square meters, Guangzhou library has a total collection of 6.58 million volumes (pieces), 4000 reading seats, 500 computers for readers, 4000 wired network nodes and 100% wireless network coverage. To realize the integration of collection, borrowing, reading and consulting; to comprehensively apply RFID technology ）, automatic document sorting system, self-service equipment, to achieve efficient and accurate collection management and convenient service; set up comprehensive service area, public service area, object service area, theme service area, exchange service area, book collection area and other functional areas, with distinctive era style and rich Lingnan humanistic implication.

Guangzhou Grand Theatre

Guangzhou Grand Theater is designed by Zaha Hadid, a world famous designer (British architect of Iraqi origin). It is located in plot J4 of Zhujiang New Town. Its shape is like "round double gravel", just like two pieces of gravel placed on gentle hills, which is very special on the edge of the Pearl River. Due to the adoption of steel steel concrete hybrid structure, it is estimated that the steel consumption will exceed 12000 tons (without considering all kinds of gusset plates, bearing plates and auxiliary components added in the detailed design), which is twice the steel consumption of 6750 tons for the dome of the National Grand Theater of China.

New museum of Guangdong Province

The new museum is located in the culture and Art Square in the new city center of Zhujiang New Town, Guangzhou. Environment of the new library: to the west of the new site are Guangzhou Opera House and Guangzhou second children's palace. To the north, it is adjacent to the new library of Guangzhou. Guangzhou second children's palace covers an area of 16530 square meters, with a total construction area of 46008 square meters. The second to sixth floors are the theater building and its ancillary rooms. The main building in the north is designed as a growth guidance and service center, office, exhibition hall, etc. the second to sixth floors are designed as foreign language, computer, art, calligraphy, chorus, musical instruments and dance classrooms. The seventh floor is the international exchange hall and musical instrument rehearsal hall. There are more than 140 classrooms in total, which can accommodate 20000 people.

Guangzhou zhoudafu financial center

Guangzhou zhoudafu financial center is located in the Pearl River new town of Guangzhou city. The East Tower of Guangzhou zhoudafu financial center was officially capped on the 28th, with a total height of 530 meters, which is nearly 100 meters higher than the West Tower, the original tallest building in Guangzhou. It has refreshed the new height of Guangzhou buildings and become the "tallest building in Guangzhou". The East Tower project is expected to be officially completed and put into use in 2016. The East Tower is located in the Pearl River new town of Guangzhou. It forms an isosceles triangle with the West Tower and the Guangzhou tower. It is the final work of the landmark buildings on the central axis of the new city of Guangzhou. The building covers an area of about 26000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 500000 square meters and a total of 116 floors, including 111 floors above the ground and 5 floors underground.

The structural design of Guangzhou east tower adopts 8 mega frame columns, 6 stiffening ring trusses and double steel plate shear walls, which makes the East Tower equivalent to two sets of protective frameworks to ensure the structural stability of this super high-rise building. The final steel consumption of the East Tower project is about 180000 tons, which is more than the total steel consumption of the West Tower and Guangzhou tower. It is reported that Guangzhou East Tower is directly invested by Chow Tai Fook Group of Hong Kong, with a cost of more than 10 billion yuan. It will integrate super five-star hotels, restaurants, serviced apartments, Grade A office buildings, underground shopping malls and other functions.

Guangzhou International Financial Center

Guangzhou International Financial Center (hereinafter referred to as Guangzhou IFC) is located on the central axis of the CBD of Zhujiang New Town, adjacent to the Pearl River. Take Metro Line 3 and line 5 to Zhujiang New Town station, take pedestrian tunnel from the entrance and exit of Guangzhou Friendship Guojin store to Huacheng square, or take bus 407 from entrance and exit B1 to municipal government service center station.
