Potential Garden
Qianyuan garden is located in Jianshe Road, Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. It was built in the early years of the Qing Dynasty. It is a private garden built by Lu Xinyuan, a book collector. Now it is a place for viewing and resting.
Huzhou Qianyuan
Qianyuan is located in Jianshe Road, Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, which is built with lianhuazhuang.
There are two big characters "Qianyuan" written by Professor Chen Congzhou of Tongji University on the green tile wall to the east of Qianyuan gate. Entering the gate is a rockery made of more than 1000 tons of Taihu stone. On the south side of the mountain, there is a small pavilion with wooden columns and brown tiles. In the pavilion, there is the word "Xiao Penglai" written by the famous calligrapher Tan Jiancheng. On the east side of the rockery is Lu's book donation monument to commemorate Lu Xinyuan's book donation. There are also Baoxuan corridor in the park, with stalagmites, flowers, banana trees, camphor and other plants, and a pool with five Taihu stones on the edge, one of which is "lotus peak", which has been listed as the municipal cultural protection. It is a place to watch and rest.
Qianyuan was built in the early years of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It was a private garden built by the book collector Lu Xinyuan, so it was named "Lujia garden". Later, because Lu Xinyuan called himself "Qianyuan old man", it was renamed "Qianyuan". After the February Revolution, Dai Jitao, a Kuomintang theorist, lived here for a period of seclusion.
When Qianyuan was first built, there were 16 scenes such as "Shouxian Pavilion", "Sihai jingshe" and "Wushi thatched cottage". During the Anti Japanese War, most of the buildings were destroyed.
