New Fourth Army Jiangzhe Military Museum
Located in Wentang village, Huaikan Township, northwest of Changxing County, Zhejiang Province, the memorial hall of the New Fourth Army Jiangsu Zhejiang military region was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit in 2001. The memorial hall was originally a residential building in Xianfeng Period of the Qing Dynasty. It has a history of 150 years ago. The building is of brick and wood structure. The main house is a zouma building with four high walls, two entrances and five bays in front and behind. There are 46 houses in total, with a construction area of 2000 square meters. The whole building is spacious in scale, compact in layout, exquisite in structure, gorgeous in carving and well arranged. It reflects the simple, solemn and elegant artistic style of residential buildings in Qing Dynasty.
In October 2018, it was named "national primary and secondary students' research and practice education base" in 2018.
Introduction to the memorial

In December 1943, under the leadership of brigade commander Wang Bicheng and political commissar Jiang Weiqing, the 16th brigade of the 6th Division of the New Fourth Army opened up the Anti Japanese base areas (Langxi, Guangde and Changxing). In January 1945, Su Yu led his division to the South and joined the 16th brigade in Yangfeng, Changxing. On January 13, 1993, the military headquarters of the New Fourth Army established the Jiangsu Zhejiang military region in accordance with the order of the Central Military Commission, appointing Su Yu as commander and Tan Zhenlin as political commissar. On February 5, 1945, the founding meeting of the Jiangsu Zhejiang military region was held in the playground. Since January 1945, it has been the headquarters of the Jiangsu Zhejiang military region.
The memorial hall covers an area of 3400 square meters. On the west side of the courtyard is a memorial to the ashes of general Su Yu, commander of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region. On the east side is a sculpture of "military and civilian fish and water situation" and a memorial to the new Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region. The memorial hall is decorated solemnly and solemnly. On the front of the exhibition hall, pines, cypresses and flowers are surrounded by the bust of a famous general Su Yu. On the red curtain of the statue, there is an inscription by Comrade Ye Fei: "military and civilian unity, invincible." Upstairs and downstairs, there are four exhibition halls to collect and display 750 revolutionary historical relics and 420 precious historical photos. Among them: there are important documents, notes, military maps and combat weapons for the New Fourth Army to open up bases and fight against the enemy and the puppets; there are seized spoils, local weapons made by the New Fourth Army's arsenal and local equipment for rescuing the wounded in the rear hospital; there are newspapers, propaganda materials, banknotes and food vouchers published in that year; and there is the "Anti Japanese garrison of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region" issued by the headquarters of the Soviet Zhejiang military region There are also precious historical photos of Su Yu, ye Fei, Wang Bicheng, Jiang Weiqing and Liu biesheng.

The museum used to be the headquarters of the 48th regiment of the 16th brigade of the New Fourth Army, while the headquarters of the 16th brigade, the headquarters of the Jiangsu Zhejiang military region, the political department and Su Yu were stationed in yangfengyi, and the Jiangsu Zhejiang public school was stationed in Taiji village near the museum. After the death of general Su Yu, according to his last wish, he scattered part of his ashes on the playground of the memorial hall, and the county people's Government erected a monument. The memorial is a provincial cultural security unit and a provincial patriotic education base.
The museum is a large residence in Xianfeng Period. After the establishment of the Jiangsu Zhejiang military region, the headquarters of the military region was stationed in yangfengjia, and the headquarters of the first column of the military region, which was adapted from the original 16th brigade, was moved to Wentang village. In 1961, the site was announced as one of the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province. In 1976, the cultural relics depository of the former site of the headquarters of the New Fourth Army Jiangsu Zhejiang military region was established. After the death of Comrade Li Yu in 1984, part of the ashes were scattered on the west side of the square in front of the former site, with a tombstone. In 1985, Jiang Weiqing inscribed the name of the museum and officially established the memorial. On June 25, 2001, the former site of the New Fourth Army Jiangsu Zhejiang military region (including 15 sites) was announced as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council. It is now a national AAA tourist attraction, a national youth education base, a patriotism education base in Zhejiang Province, a national defense education base in Zhejiang Province, and a classic youth red tour scenic spot in Zhejiang Province. In May 2008, it was awarded the "national patriotism education demonstration base" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. Since its opening in 1976, it has received about 5.5 million visitors from all over the country. After its free opening, it has received more attention from all walks of life.

On the right front is the newly established memorial to "commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region" The three big characters "N4A" on the stele are shining with dazzling light.
The interior layout of the memorial hall is solemn and solemn. In the main hall of the exhibition hall, pines, cypresses and flowers surround the bust of general Su Yu. Focusing on the theme of the New Fourth Army in Western Zhejiang, the exhibition covers eight aspects: the 16th brigade of the New Fourth Army marched into Langguang area and opened up an anti Japanese base area; the establishment of the Soviet Zhejiang military region of the New Fourth Army shouldered the important task of strategic counter offensive; the construction of Anti Japanese Democratic base area; the victory of the Anti Japanese War; the New Fourth Army's following the northern route; remembering the revolutionary martyrs and inheriting the revolutionary will; Changxing Anti Japanese War; the poetry, calligraphy and painting of veteran soldiers; and revolutionary cultural relics It records the whole fighting process of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region from the autumn of 1943 to October of 1945, and reproduces the glorious achievements of the army and the people of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region at that time, thus warmly eulogizing the outstanding contributions of general Su Yu, ye Fei, Liu Xiansheng, Zhong qiguang, Wang Bicheng, Jiang Weiqing, etc.

There are 17 former sites (sites) of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region under the jurisdiction of the memorial hall. On April 15, 1961, the people's Committee of Zhejiang Province announced the "former site of the headquarters of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region" (actually the former site of the headquarters of the first column of the New Fourth Army's Jiangsu Zhejiang military region) in Wentang, Changxing.
