Southern sky column
Located in Sanya City, Hainan Province, nantianyizhu is a tall stone, also known as "fortune stone", which has an ancient and long-standing legend.
Introduction and legend
Tianya Haijiao nantianyizhu is located in Sanya City, Hainan Province. About 300 meters east from the two stones of "Tianya" and "Haijiao", a tall and towering cone-shaped stone, like a magic pen, points straight to the sky, which is the "pillar of the South sky"
The stone, about 7 meters high, looks like the head of a philosopher on the front and the "double mast sail" on the side of an ancient ship. The pattern on the back of the fourth edition of 2 yuan is the "South sky pillar" here.
Fortune stone is a pillar stone in the south. Standing between the sea and the sky, standing upright, full of wealth and masculinity. The stone scene is printed on the back of the fourth set of RMB two yuan notes. It is said that "fortune stone" has the aura of transforming decay into magic. Once upon a time, a rich businessman in Hong Kong wandered around the world after he was defeated. After close contact with "fortune" stone, he returned to Hong Kong to revive his career. Therefore, "fortune stone" is regarded as the stone of wealth by local people and tourists.
It is said that it is a part of "Tianzhu" which "Gonggong angrily touches Buzhou mountain, Tianzhu breaks, and diweijue", and was sent here to support the southern sky. In the first year of Xuantong (1909), fan YUNTI, then governor of Yazhou, inscribed the four characters "a pillar in the South sky" according to the above statement.
It is also said that a long time ago, the sea around Li'an in Lingshui was full of vicious waves, and fishermen often lost their lives when they went out to sea. The two fairies of the Queen Mother sneaked down to the earth and stood in the South China Sea to guide the local fishermen. From then on, the fishermen's life was stable and beautiful. When the queen mother knew about it, she sent Lei Gong and Lei Mu to take two fairies back. They did not follow. Instead, they turned into twin peaks and stood on the sea to continue piloting the fishermen. Lei Gong was very angry. With a bang, he split the stone into two parts. One part fell into the sea near Li'an, and the other part flew to the "ends of the earth" in Sanya, becoming today's "pillar of the South sky".
