Brief introduction to ancient tombs
It can be inferred from the shape of the tomb, the brick inscription patterns and the unearthed cultural relics that the tomb should have been built in the Eastern Han Dynasty, that is, from 25 to 220 A.D. In 1988, the Han Tomb of Li Zhengwu was listed as a statutory historic site and was preserved permanently. In order to stabilize the humidity and temperature inside the Han tomb and reduce the loss of the tomb, the tomb is not open to the public, but the audience can peep through the glass embedded in the entrance of Xiandao.
Next to the Han tombs is the exhibition hall. Apart from the pottery and bronzes unearthed from the Han tombs, there are also two exhibitions, "Li Zhengwu Han Tombs" and "Han culture in South China". By using words, pictures, photos, maps, videos and models, the exhibition hall introduces the geographical environment, discovery process and tomb structure of the Han tombs. The visitors can also learn about the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) The social and cultural characteristics of South China.
