Huadianba is a famous scenic spot in Dali, Yunnan Province. It is located behind yunnong and cangniang peaks. It is 2900 meters above sea level, more than 20 kilometers long from north to South and about 3 kilometers wide from east to west.

Main attractions

Starting from Dali City, about 15 kilometers northbound, you can reach Wanhua river opposite Xizhou town. Wanhua River, shade of trees, fragrance of flowers, along the river, refreshing. After climbing for more than two hours, you can reach Huadian sentry post. On the sentry day, a broad dam with a bright blue sky suddenly appears in front of us, which makes us suddenly feel relaxed and happy. Many tourists forget their fatigue when they enter Huadian, singing and dancing happily. Huadian dam is surrounded by undulating peaks, green bamboos all over the mountain, water tinkling, birds chirping, quiet and beautiful. On the ertai slope to the east of the dam, the big and sweet water and Lingling fruits make people salivate. To the north of Bazi, spring is coming, flowers are in full bloom, and the mountains are red.

Tourism information

Transportation: there are two routes from Xizhou to huadianba: one starts from Zhoucheng, goes West to the foot of canglangfeng mountain, then goes along Qishan Panshan road to xiaohuaba, and then reaches the center of huadianba, which takes about 6 hours; the other starts from Xizhou Town, goes West to wutaifeng

Hongguishan, then climb to the top of the mountain, then go northward to Shankou, Pinglu to huadianba center, it also takes 6 hours. You can also ride a cross-country motorcycle to Zhoucheng. Starting from Zhoucheng, it takes about 2 hours, led by an outdoor leader.

Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, scholars such as Li Yuanyang and Yang Shiyun have visited huadianba and chanted poems.

The whole huadianba is full of colorful flowers from spring to autumn. Camellia, Rhododendron, YINGSHANHONG, wild chrysanthemum, jackal flower, dragon claw flower and so on, make the whole Bazi colorful. Especially in April and may, huadianba really became the world of flowers, and the sea of flowers attracted many botanists at home and abroad to visit huadianba again and again for scientific investigation. According to Nanzhao unofficial history, huaxiongba was inhabited long before Jin Dynasty. Larger villages include "yellow bear nest", "wolf fragrance", "fir tree", "dairy cow pier" and so on. Later, because of the war and other reasons, the indigenous people here gradually moved to Dali Bazi. After a long time, Huadian was gradually abandoned. Many flowers and trees were left behind at that time. Some of them were thousands of years old.

Huadianba is a kingdom of plants and flowers. The Rhododendron in the Royal Botanical Garden was transplanted from huadianba and gradually developed after cultivation. This kind of Rhododendron has spread all over Europe.
