Lhasa Deji orphanage
Deji orphanage is a folk orphanage in the suburbs of Lhasa. Its founder is Dazhen, a Tibetan woman.
Introduction to scenic spots
In the past, after making some money in the tobacco business, he opened a sweet tea house. There were always children begging in the sweet tea house. Three years ago, he had the idea of opening an orphanage. Initially adopted more than a dozen children, and later adopted more and more children. At present, 87 children have been adopted, including Tibetan children and Han children, most of whom are girls, and one deaf mute child, the youngest of whom is only a few months old. Deji orphanage is a non-governmental welfare institution, so there is no financial allocation. The main source of income to maintain the orphanage is the snow happy teahouse opened by Dazhen's mother. The operating income of sweet teahouse alone is not enough to maintain the orphanage. The children's life is relatively difficult, and they mainly rely on the love donation of social forces to continue.
