Tea tree King
In xiangzhujing, more than 70 kilometers away from Fengqing, there is an ancestral tea tree king at least 3200 years old. Because it grew up in Jinxiu village, Xiaowan Town, Fengqing County, the local people named it Jinxiu tea king (also known as Jinxiu Tea Ancestor).
Brief introduction of tea tree King
It is often said that the tea tree king is two wild "tea tree kings" growing in the vast primeval forest of qianjiazhai, Jiujia Township, Zhenyuan County, which is more than 2600 meters above sea level.
The king of tea tree is 5.48 meters high, 10.9 × 9.86 meters wide and 1.38 meters in circumference, which is known as "two people embracing the tea tree".
They are one high and one low, one male and one female. The tallest tree is 20.35 meters high, 0.9 meters in diameter, and 0.127 meters in trunk diameter. The trunk is smooth and grayish white. It begins to branch 5 meters above the ground. The leaves are oval, 15 cm long and 4.3 cm wide. The crown is in the shape of a canopy. The shade covers an area of 20 square meters. "Tea king" is surrounded by 54 acres of wild tea trees, which is said to be the offspring of "tea king".
According to experts' determination, these two "tea tree kings" have a history of 2700 years and 2600 years respectively. When they were born in the spring and Autumn period of China, they are the oldest wild tea tree kings discovered in China so far. During the spring tea germination season, people from several nearby townships go into the mountains to set up sheds to pick wild tea, which can pick more than 2500 kg of tea every year.
Because of the special growth state of the two trees, even if Jinxiu tea king grew longer, people still like to call them "tea king".
