Jadeite pool is also called "ancient oil pool". Songgu stream near Songgu nunnery is located above Wulongtan. Pillow peak in the East and Furong peak in the West. In the south of Qitan Road, there are rocks stacked horizontally, and water flows out from the cracks into the pool, which is called "Youzha". In the north of the road, there is a stone urn named "oil cylinder". Under the eastern cliff, there is a concave stone like a pot, in which there are many small pebbles like oil seeds, which is called "fried seed pot". The pot, jar and press are all ready. It's perfect.

Deep in the back sea of Huangshan Mountain, there is a deep pool full of emeralds. It is inlaid in the stream between the two peaks. It is five feet long and three feet wide. The clear water is sparkling. The pool is full of emeralds all the year round. It looks like a huge piece of jade from afar, so it is named "Emerald pool".

Feicui pool is composed of Jiaan mountain rock and two huge stones.

It is about 10 meters deep, 15 meters long and 8 meters wide.

Its formation is the result of the water flowing over the boulders in the valley and pouring forward. Wei Yuan of the Qing Dynasty wrote a preface to the poem "Songgu Wulongtan:" Songgu is the gateway of Houhai. Valley in the four mountains, by stalagmites, Shilin streams of the waterfall, into green, black, yellow, from the four pools, and the oil pool and five. Each of them is named after the color of the stone wall. But the stream above youtan is as long and narrow as Youzha. Squeeze the stone factory into the air, the water runs across the hole, the orifices gather and boom, and the pool is like a cauldron. The white stone at the bottom of the pot can be counted, but the bottom of the pipe can't be counted. Beautiful legend

According to the old legend, there is an ancient temple, Songgu temple, more than three miles away from the feicui pool. There are 108 monks in it. Because of the lack of porridge, there is no cooking oil, let alone to give the Bodhisattva a long light. Every night, the temple is dark, but the elder monk Dinghui still leads all the monks to meditate, worship Buddha and chant sutras. Dinghui and the monks of the temple moved the mountain god of Huangshan. One night, the Mountain God asked the elder for a dream, saying that the emerald pool was full of vegetable oil, which could be used by the monks in the temple to eat and light the lamp in front of the Buddha. When Ding Hui wakes up, she is surprised. She tells the Deacon what she has been dreaming about and asks him to pick a bucket and go to the emerald pool to see if it comes true. After a while, the Deacon came back with two barrels of orange oil. From then on, a monk went to feicui pool to pick up oil every day in Songgu nunnery, and the life of more than 100 monks improved quickly. During the day, there was oil to fry vegetables, and at night, there was oil to light lamps. After enjoying the Bodhisattva, the temple became fat.

Fifteen years later, Dinghui and Deacon abhorrent died one after another, and Anli changed his family. One day, the new deacon asked a young monk to take some oil to sell in shanxiapu village and get some pocket money back. Unexpectedly, the little monk leaked the news, and the oil from the emerald pool soon spread all over the village. In the early morning of the next day, people went to the feicui pool to get oil. The sound of "bang Tong Bang Tong" startled the mountain god. When the mountain god learned that the secret had leaked, he got angry and let out a fire dragon to rush into the pool. With a "bang", the vegetable oil in the pool caught fire and burned completely. After that, there was no more oil in the pool, and it was still a pool of green water as it used to be. Up to now, there are six characters "ancient oil pool" and "Jade Pool" carved on the rock wall beside the pool.
