After the Expo, the main part of the pavilion was relocated to the famous oil city of Daqing, Heilongjiang Province. One of the 4D cinema equipment was moved to another oil city, Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

A unique building will be erected in Shanghai World Expo Park, which is composed of "oil and gas pipelines". As night falls, these "oil and gas pipelines" turn into a giant LED screen. This is the Oil Pavilion, one of the 17 self built enterprise pavilions in Shanghai World Expo. Compared with the "Water Cube" of Beijing Olympic Games, the materials and appearance of this "oil Cube" are more innovative and attractive. Inside the exhibition hall, we will create an oil theme park through 4D dynamic cinema and other scientific and technological means, presenting a shocking and exciting journey of oil.

The appearance is full of petroleum elements

The Oil Pavilion is located in Puxi Park of Shanghai World Expo, covering an area of 4000 square meters, close to the Huangpu River, Puxi ferry terminal and Lupu Bridge. The Oil Pavilion is jointly built by three state-owned enterprises, namely PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC, with the theme of "oil, extending the city dream".

Adhering to the theme of "close to life, interesting oil", the oil museum is looking forward to delivering intuitive, simple and shocking oil information to the audience. The main color of the exhibition hall is light blue, which expresses the theme of "oil, extending the city dream".

Around the oil Museum, there are colorful PC pipes decorated with symbols of petroleum and petrochemical industry such as valves and drill bits. Above the audience entrance, a huge triangular LED screen will play the scene of the petroleum and petrochemical industry in a circular way, creating a strong atmosphere of the petroleum and petrochemical industry.

Inspired by "energy block"

From the appearance, the surface of the oil museum is woven with crisscross light blue "oil and gas pipelines", which are a new type of building material PC board. Different from the common use of metal plate, glass, stone, ceramics and other building materials in modern building exterior walls, PC board is a new type of green oil derivative which can be recycled.

The PC board of the oil Museum covers an area of nearly 4000 square meters, which is the first in China. The whole exhibition hall is made of PC board into "pipeline units", and then it is precisely "woven" with special technology to build the facade of the oil Museum, showing the extensive use of petroleum and petrochemical products.

In addition, the crisscross shape of "oil and gas pipelines" makes the oil Museum like a huge energy processing network system, which means that the "energy block" containing oil underground is the main power source of a beautiful city.

Led exterior wall changes in a variety of colors

The biggest feature of the oil museum is its changeable architectural appearance. During the day, it is an "oil Cube" woven by a light blue "oil and gas pipeline", while at night, it will be transformed into a crystal clear and colorful dream "oil Cube".

To achieve this function is the oil Museum of nearly 4000 square meters of building exterior wall, is actually a giant LED screen. At the beginning of the Lantern Festival, this led screen will continuously display a variety of colors and patterns, which will add a bright and beautiful landscape to the Expo Garden at night.

Enjoy cold fog in line in summer

Shanghai World Expo period includes hot summer. In order to create a comfortable and pleasant outdoor waiting space for the audience, the Oil Pavilion will provide fountains, cold fog and other facilities around and at the entrance of the pavilion, which can not only cool down, but also allow children to play here.

At that time, the oil museum will also arrange small interactive performances in the waiting area, such as close range magic, string puppet, group photo with the mascot of the oil Museum, and present souvenirs with petroleum and petrochemical characteristics.

Relocation of Daqing

The oil museum is located in the south of Daqing Hotel, Saertu District, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province, adjacent to No.9 Courtyard Hotel and across the road from Wanda Plaza, Saertu. The oil Museum covers a total area of 4000 square meters and a construction area of 6190 square meters. The exhibition includes the contents of oil's role in human history and urban development, 4D films, on-site performances, etc. Daqing Petroleum Museum will become one of the important tourist attractions in Daqing City, which will transfer the concept of popular science knowledge and display the charm of petroleum civilization with cultural vision.

In addition to rich "connotation", the oil museum also has rich "expression". After nightfall, you can see dozens of different models and patterns on the outer wall of the oil Museum, such as kowtow machine, oil, extended city dream, iron man statue, and so on. In addition, if you can climb up the TV Tower and look down from a high altitude, you can also see the PetroChina logo, yellow and red gemstone flowers, on the square outside the oil Museum. This is also the unique design of the oil museum after it was relocated to Daqing.

After the oil pavilion was moved to Daqing, its internal layout was different from that of the Oil Pavilion in the World Expo, adding some Daqing elements. Here, you can not only see the mascot "oil baby" and the 4D movie "oil dream", but also experience the performance of "oil show", which shows the style of oil and all walks of life in Daqing.
