Xichang Temple
Watsi chum is always immediately captured by the magnificent buildings and huge Buddha statues.
As soon as every visitor enters the gate, he sees a huge seated Buddha staring out from the narrow gate. This seated Buddha is similar to the "Agana Buddha" mentioned on the lankanheng stone tablet. With his right hand pointing to the ground, he is in a magical posture. He is 15 meters high and his knees are 11.3 meters wide. The Buddha statue is perfectly trimmed and has no feeling of going through vicissitudes. It is generally believed that the Buddha statue was originally open-air, but later it was covered temple.
It is said that once when Khmer army sent troops to attack Sukhothai, two soldiers of Sukhothai hid behind the Giant Buddha. When Khmer army attacked Xichang temple, they heard the voice of two soldiers, thought it was the Buddha talking, and immediately withdrew! Because of this short story, the Buddha in Xichang temple is called "talking Buddha" by Thailand.
