The external wall structure of the residence is exposed, the beams and columns are white, the purple Taishan tiles are overlaid, the white cement is pointed, and both sides of the front and rear gates are built with glass bricks. The inner circle of the circular plane is the living room, which is paved with white marble floor. In the center of the living room, there is a marble European style fountain, and the corresponding ceiling has a glass chandelier. The outer space is divided into living room, dining room, study and auxiliary room. From the center of the living room can enter the outer ring of the room. The cake house was once the residence of the Spanish Minister, which was later purchased by Zhou Junshi, a famous Democrat who was the president of Tongji University. Zhou was put into prison for advocating peace. In May 1949, he was arrested by Chiang Kai Shek in Chongqing and imprisoned in baigongguan prison in Chongqing. He died on November 27 of the same year at the age of 58. Today, the building belongs to Zhou Junshi's daughter, who lives abroad. In the early 1950s, the hospitable host often held tea party in it, so guests and neighbors jokingly called it "cake house". This is the second version of cake house. Both statements are reasonable.
