Qingxi Country Park

Qingxi country park, located on the Bank of Dalian Lake in Qingpu District, is located as a suburban wetland country park. It is the only country park with wetland characteristics in Shanghai.

Qingxi Country Park

Jinze Town, located in the west of Qingpu District, Shanghai, has a total area of about 22 square kilometers. Although in terms of positioning, Qingxi country park belongs to the "suburban Country Park", it is less than 40 km away from the center of Shanghai.

Qingxi country park, located in Qingpu District of Shanghai, is the only wetland featured country park in Shanghai. Nearly one third of its area is covered by water

With Dalian Lake as the core, the park connects the surrounding wetlands, lakes, forests, fish ponds, farmland, rivers, and residential buildings, with crisscross beaches and islands.

Water forest

The "water forest" is located in the ecological conservation area of Qingxi country park, covering an area of more than 60 mu. It is mainly composed of water resistant tree species such as Taxodium ascendens. Water forest alternates with water forest, and gulls and herons gather everywhere, forming a unique landscape in Shanghai.

The predecessor of "water forest" was the grain forest intercropping wetland afforestation initiated by Shanghai Agricultural Bureau in 1982. The seedlings were mainly Taxodium ascendens, Taxodium ascendens and Taxodium ascendens. Later, due to river dredging and human reasons, the area was reduced from more than 100 mu to about 60 mu.
