Jiulongtan scenic spot is located in the northern core area of world natural heritage and World Geopark in Taining County, Fujian Province.

Jiulongtan is a Danxia gorge group in China with the highest density and complexity. It is a typical area of Danxia landform development in Taining's youth. It is known as "the miniature pearl of Danxia landscape in Taining" because of the diversity of lakes, streams, mountains, valleys, rocks, peaks and gullies.

Main attractions

There are more than 20 major water and land scenic spots in jiulongtan. Water attractions include: water sky, Nine Dragon Cave, holy elephant welcome, yulongyan, Qiulong gorge, fairy shaisha cliff, rhinoceros moon, Yinglong gorge, Danya cliff, turtle belly Buddha, orangutan pond, Yougu lane, Qiqing baizuiyan, Longwei gorge, etc. Land scenic spots include: Great Red Cliff, orchid Valley, Qingyun TIANTI, Wugang oak community, early Danxia peak cluster, nansuanzao, Xiantao mountain, renmianyan, guchangtai, "Gong" character mitan, Yanbo painted wall, Sanxiang Jishui, Yuelong Valley, Guilong phantom, Guiyi Pavilion, Shengsheng, xixintan, huanshui Gallery, castles in the air, Canglong cave, Jiulongtang temple, genbaoshi, Fengdong Stone, crocodile stone, etc.

It is adjacent to shangqingxi, hongshigou and zhuangyuanyan. It is named after nine winding mountain streams and springs converging in the pool. Features of scenic spots

Jiulongtan scenic area covers an area of 15 square kilometers, with a water surface of 100 mu and a storage capacity of 360000 cubic meters. It is composed of 5 km long deep canyon, deep water line Valley and lane Valley catchment. The widest part is more than 100 meters, and the narrowest part is less than 2 meters. It is densely covered with Danxia peak cluster and peak forest, with vertical and horizontal canyons and unique rock trough caves.

In the boating pool, looking at the picturesque valleys, streams, vegetation, and clear water, through China's most beautiful, longest, narrowest, majestic water sky and the Deep Water Dragon Cave, you can see the perfect combination of a bend, a scene, a journey, and a scene, with clear, quiet, strange, and wild. You have a feeling of being close to mountains, water, oxygen, and the world. Along the 3200 meter long hydrophilic mountain path, or step up the ladder, you can have a panoramic view of the scenery; or walk along the waterfront plank road, and sing with the boatman fisherman's folk songs, just like staying in a fairyland, relaxed and happy. The perfect combination of Danxia landscape and water scenery in the scenic spot shows the artistic conception of fresh landscape and elegant Jiulong.

Jiulongtan scenic area is also a paradise for the growth of animals and plants. The scenic spot is located in subtropical monsoon humid climate with four distinct seasons, abundant sunshine and rainfall. Here grow Taxus, Phoebe, palm tree, camphor and other valuable species, as well as Polygonum multiflorum, Amomum villosum, eucommia, Phellodendron amurense and other valuable medicinal materials, as well as pangolin, Silver Pheasant, pheasant, stone sheep and other birds and animals, so that jiulongtan presents a wonderful state of "beauty in nature, beauty in primitive".

From the day when the scenic spots are reopened to December 31, 2020, medical workers across the country will be free of charge with their valid certificates (doctor's certificate or nurse's certificate). Free scenic spots: dajinhu, shangqingxi, Zhaixia Grand Canyon, shangshudi, jiulongtan, Maoershan and zhuangyuanyan (excluding cruise ship, bamboo raft, Jingjiao and tour guide fees).
