Suolan Bridge
The second bridge of SUDI, not far from the lake, is located in Wangzhuang. The bridge is 16.9 meters long, 6.4 meters wide and 6.2 meters long. It is a semi-circular stone arch bridge. It was built in the Northern Song Dynasty. From the ninth to the eleventh year of the Republic of China, the stone grade was changed to slope. In 1954, the arch bridge was changed to bluestone hurdle. In the old days, it was connected to mailing road in Chishan.
As the name suggests, "Suolan bridge" is used to lock the waves. The West Lake (refers to the outer West Lake) was originally sparkling. Once passing the Suolan bridge, the water in front of the Xili Lake suddenly became extremely calm, just like a big green mirror. The long Su dike and the dense vegetation on the dike blocked the wind from Hangzhou city to the east of the West Lake. Therefore, the water surface of the Xili Lake came from the east of the Su dike However, it is much calmer than the West Lake.
