Gu Qingchun gate
Qingchun gate is one of the East gates of Hangzhou City in Zhejiang Province. It was built in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The gate is located in the Hexi of today's Central River. Because it is near Yanqiao, it is called yanqiaomen.
In the second year of Tang Jingfu (893), Wuyue built beitumen at the entrance of Dongqing alley in the west of today's Donghe vegetable market bridge, which was also called dongqingmen in the Song Dynasty. On the left side of the gate, the imperial city's Siying was stationed. Outside the gate were vegetable gardens. There was a vegetable market nearby, which was called the vegetable market gate. The gate was destroyed in the early Yuan Dynasty. In the 19th year of Yuan Dynasty (1359), Sanli was expanded to the East and a new gate was rebuilt. The new gate is near the Taiping Bridge, which is called Taiping gate. According to legend, in the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang led Chang Yuchun's troops into the city, which was renamed qingchunmen to celebrate the great victory. In the old days, people in Hangzhou had the custom of welcoming spring cattle to the city on the eve of grain crops. The poem says: you can watch it in the eastern suburb of spring, whip the local ox, whip the spring official. This year, the maid of tooth God hall has pulled out cattle hair and cooked grain. Nearby, there is a "Qingchun Xiaojiao" and "women's wall sunset" with eight views of the east city. Hong Sheng, a dramatist, lives in the gate. Qingchun gate and its remnant wall were demolished when Huancheng East Road was built in 1959. In 1994, Qingchun overpass was built on the site of the gate. Fire and cars went their own way, and the traffic was smooth. In 2005, when Qingchun Road was renovated, more spring cattle came to the city to form a group. In order to make the later generations understand the historical facts of the changes, they set up their ambition.
