Ruan Gong Temple
Ruan Gong temple, located at the top of Ruishi mountain, is dedicated to Ruan Yuan, governor of Zhejiang Province in Qing Dynasty. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the people of Zhejiang felt their virtue and established their ancestral temple on the mountain.
In addition, there is also Ruan Gong temple in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, dedicated to Ruan Mizhi, the prefect of Jin'an County in Song Dynasty.
Ruangong temple in Hangzhou
Located at No.60 yuanbaoxin, Wushan, it worships Ruan Yuan, governor of Zhejiang Province in Qing Dynasty. Ruan Yuan (1764-1849) was born in Yizheng, Jiangsu Province. He was a famous Confucian scholar and calligrapher in Qing Dynasty. He once served as the governor of Zhejiang Province for many years. During this period, he dredged the West Lake, built seawalls and founded academies. There are "thirteen classics annotations", "two Zhejiang Jinshi Zhi" and so on. The existing building of the temple was rebuilt from Chongyang nunnery in 1879, covering an area of 320 square meters. It has five rooms in width and is built on a hard mountain. In 2007, the temple was rebuilt. The long stone steps of the rebuilt ruangong ancestral hall reach directly to the gate, which is quite impressive. The whole building is composed of wing rooms on both sides, main hall and side hall across the courtyard. The main hall is five rooms wide, built on a hard mountain and facing east from the West.
The main hall is arranged in the form of a central hall, with a huge Ruan Yuan line carved statue and several cases in front. Between the two sides of the wall, four silk paintings imitating ancient Silk depict Ruan Yuan's main deeds in Zhejiang and Hangzhou. And there are Ruan Yuan's calligraphy works. In addition, in the form of display cabinet, Ruan Yuan's chronology, calligraphy works and various versions of Ruan Yuan's main works are displayed. The whole hall gives a quiet, elegant and concise impression.

Ruangong temple was built on the site of Chongyang nunnery. In the period of Kaicheng of Tang Dynasty (836-840), the Taoists of Xichuan built spears and lived there. During the period of Dade in Yuan Dynasty (1297-1307), ran Wuwei, a Taoist of Xichuan, traveled here and built the Sanqing Pavilion. He inherited guangweizi, the 38th emperor of the Han Dynasty, and wrote "Qingyi Dongtian Wushan Fudi Shifang dazhongyang nunnery" in Shibi. Ming Hongwu 24 years (1391), established as Quanzhen jungle. In the 29th year of Hongwu, the Taoist Zhong Daoming rebuilt. In the 11th year of Chenghua (1475), the abbot Mei daosiam repaired it. In the early Qing Dynasty, it was renamed "Zhizhi nunnery" to recover the old amount of Chongyang nunnery. Xianfeng 11 years (1861), destroyed by the Taiping army. In 1879, it was rebuilt as Ruan Gong temple.
There are many Taoist relics at the back door of Ruan Gong Temple: Wushan Fudi, Qingyi Dongtian, Quanzhen, Shifang dachongyang nunnery, Wangan Cuizhu, Yihong Yongquan, Ziyang Dongtian stone carving, Yishan stone carving, dunben Xingfu stone carving.
It is said that Mi Fu's handwriting is "the first mountain".
Ruangong temple in Fuzhou
Ruangong temple is located in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. At the southern foot of the mountain, he worshiped Ruan Mizhi, the prefect of Jin'an County in Song Dynasty.
