Sino Soviet friendship tower

Lushun Sino Soviet friendship tower is located in Guangrong street, Lvshunkou district. It is located in the square in front of the main entrance of Lushun Museum. It was completed on February 24, 1957. The tower is 22 meters high. On the top of the tower, there are white clouds and flying doves, symbolizing the unity and friendship between the people of China and the Soviet Union.

In 1955, Premier Zhou personally laid the foundation for the tower with the inscription "the foundation of Sino Soviet friendship", which was completed in February 1957. The tower is 22.2 meters high, with reliefs on all sides of the lower square seat of the tower; the front is engraved with Tiananmen Square in Beijing and the Kremlin in Moscow; the west is engraved with kangbein harvester in Sino Soviet friendship farm; the East is engraved with Anshan Iron and steel blast furnace; the north is engraved with the scenery of Lushun Port and victory tower by the port. In the lower part of the dodecagonal tower, there are 20 statues of the people of China and the Soviet Union with different expressions, up to 1.2 meters high. The spire is a lotus petal carved from snowflake stone, on which is the emblem of friendship between China and the Soviet Union. The tower is listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

The Sino Soviet friendship tower is a free scenic spot. Tickets are required to climb the tower. The Sino Soviet friendship tower is located in the taiyanggou Museum in Lushun. On the front and right of the tower are the Lushun Museum and the branch of the museum. Behind it is the Museum of the former site of the headquarters of the Kwantung Army. One hundred meters to the East is the Lushun snake Museum. To the south, it passes through Stalin road and is the Lushun crocodile garden.
