Beiguan Mosque
Beiguan mosque, located in the west of nanmenli Road, Beiguan Town, Minquan County, has 3500 Hui people, mainly distributed in beiguanji, majiagang, baijiadi and other villages.
Historical evolution
background
The settlement of Hui people in Beiguan began in Ming Dynasty. According to Ma's genealogy in Beiguan, when our ancestors lived in Kaifeng, the king of Chuang decided to release the river, their ancestors Ma dengyou moved to kaocheng.
Initial construction
According to the rebuilding mosque stele, during the reign of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, Ma Shangzhi, the son of Ma dengyou, donated land to build a temple in kaocheng. The site of the temple is hundreds of meters south of the temple.
Renovation and reconstruction
During the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1661), Muslim people of Ma, Zhang, Jin, Yang and other surnames in the city made contributions to renovate the mosque. In 1778, the Yellow River burst its dyke and all the temples in the city were destroyed. In that year, the Hui people in the city rebuilt a temple in the east of the city (the site of the temple is 300 meters away from the present Temple year). In 1788, the mosque was moved to its present site. In the "Cultural Revolution", mosque houses were occupied. In 1980, the mosque reopened. Later, the Hui people raised money to rebuild the moon tower and gate tower.

Beiguan mosque in Minquan county has a worship hall, a rolling shed, a north-south lecture hall, a water room, three doors and an inner house. The temple covers an area of more than 8 mu. The temple covers an area of 3 mu, with 3 chapel halls, 3 rolling sheds, 1 moon tower, 3 north rooms, 5 South rooms, 2 water rooms, 7 gatehouses and facade rooms.
Architectural features
Style features
The temple buildings belong to the Chinese classical palace style architecture format, with spacious courtyard and clean palace. In the courtyard, the flowers and plants are fragrant, and the ancient trees are towering. In front of the chapel, there is a huge plaque with the four characters of "Wu Xiang Bao Dian" written by Li Yunke, a great calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty. The plaque is subtle and the calligraphy is vigorous and powerful.
