Tomb of Tan Xinpei
Tan Xinpei tomb is a cultural relic protection unit at district level. It is located in liyuanzhuang village, Yongding town, Mentougou District. The tomb faces north and south, with a square shape. The mound is 5 meters in diameter and 1.3 meters in height. There are still boundary posts in the southeast, southwest and northwest of the cemetery, and the boundary posts in the northeast corner are deeply buried in the ground. The boundary post is made of bluestone, 1.4 meters high and rectangular. The head of the pile is made of Pearl lotus pattern, with three characters of "Yingxiu hall" (Tan Xinpei hall is called "Yingxiu") engraved horizontally below, four characters of "Tan Zhai's tomb" engraved vertically with two hooks on the surface of the pile, and three characters of the same method on the other side (unknown). There are only 20 trees left. The stone table and stele in front of the tomb have been moved to other uses. The stele is about 0.95m high and 0.63M wide. It is made of blue stone and rectangular. There are 18 lines of inscriptions with 26 characters, recording the reasons before and after the cemetery. The stele was erected in the fourth year of the Republic of China, and the inscription "Tan Junxin, a Buddhist monk, and Dawen, the master of the platform" was signed below.
Source of cemetery
In 2005, in memory of master Tan Xinpei's great achievements, the Beijing Municipal Party committee and municipal government allocated special funds to the Municipal Bureau of cultural relics and Mentougou District Cultural Committee to carry out meticulous repair of Tan Xinpei's Mausoleum at the original site. The repaired mausoleum covers an area of about 500 square meters. It is surrounded by walls. Through the stone gate with the four characters "master of Chinese opera", you can see the tombstones and graves standing on the high platform. On the back of the tombstone is tan Xinpei's life story, written by famous opera figures Liu Zengfu and he Baotang, and written by 93 year old Wang Qinsheng. The couplet at the main entrance of the cemetery is Liang Qichao's two poems: "Tan Xinpei, a man from all over the world, has been famous for 20 years, thundering like thunder."
Introduction to the characters in the cemetery
Tan Xinpei (1847-1917), one of the "Thirteen great actors of Tongguang" in Peking Opera, is the founder of the tan School of Peking Opera and a great master of the performing arts of Peking Opera. Qing Guangxu 13 years (1887) since the formation of "Tongchun class", 16 years into Shengping Department "inner court worship.". In 18 years, sanqingban was reorganized. Thirty one years ago, he filmed the segment of Dingjun mountain, the first silent film of Peking Opera in China.
