South Douya Mosque

South Douya mosque is located in chaonei Douban Hutong 4, sitting east to west. Built in the Yuan Dynasty, it was rebuilt into a new mosque in 2000. Nandouya mosque has played an important role in promoting Islamic religious culture and the connotation of Imani.

Historical evolution

Initial construction

It is said that the temple was first built in the Yuan Dynasty, and its main buildings include temple gate, worship hall and accessory room. The original temple gate is a brick Ruyi gate, which has a ridge of tiles. The lintel is an Islamic peach shaped arch. There is a pole on the top, decorated with a crescent moon. There is a brick shadow wall on the opposite side of the gate, which is 3.95 meters wide.

Renovation and reconstruction

In 2000, a new mosque with more than 8.3 million yuan directly allocated by the government was built. In 2003, according to the development and construction plan, the temple moved about 100 meters to the southwest, and the scale was expanded. The gate of the temple was changed to the west, and the width of the temple was increased to three rooms. It is still a Muslim place of worship.

Scale system

Now the gate of the temple has been rebuilt into three rooms. The room is covered with a semicircle dome. The facade is decorated with pilasters, glazed tiles and peach shaped pointed arches on the doors and windows. The entrance to the temple is the outer courtyard, facing a vertical flower gate. It is of the double column beam type. The tiles pass through the ridge. On both sides of the gate are brick walls with tile roofs. The front of the worship hall is three rooms wide. The front is Baoxia, with hard Hill tiles crossing the ridge. The middle is the main hall, with big style hard Hill tiles crossing the ridge. The back kiln hall is one, with square four corners and sharp roofs. In front of the hall, there are three rooms in the north and three rooms in the south. The front porch is for the Imam and waiting room. There are five rooms in Beishun mountain, which are bathrooms. They are all hard mountains with tile roofs and ridges. It was built in the middle of Qing Dynasty.
