Wanliu Park
Wanliu Park was opened to visitors only in October 2008. The whole park imitates the garden architecture mode of Jiangnan.
history
Liuchuan river is located at the west gate of Xuanhua ancient city. At the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, the northwest wind rages every year after the spring and autumn, and the yellow sand makes the beach a sea of sand, which harms the people deeply. In the ninth year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, in order to prevent the damage of wind and sand, people built embankments and planted trees near the Liuchuan river. There were tens of thousands of willows planted alone. Because of the spectacular rows of willows, the scenery of "thousands of willows in Liuchuan" was formed.
On the west side of the west wall of Xuanhua district and the east side of the Liuchuan river bank, there used to be a forest land dominated by willows. In 2009, Wanliu Park, the first natural park in Zhangjiakou, was officially opened to the public.
Today, the beautiful scenery of "Liuchuan Wanliu" reappears in Xuanhua, the ancient city. The reconstruction of Wanliu park has greatly improved the living environment of the people, promoted the urban taste, and is the most favorable foundation for building a livable city.
Park Landscape
The park covers an area of 40 hectares, with the overall planning of "one lake and ten sceneries". The ten sceneries include: Huagang fish watching, Haitang chunwu, Liuchuan sunset, fengluan overlapping peaks, Quchi Fenghe, ancient road still leisurely and so on. The design of Wanliu Park condenses the classic gardens in the south of the Yangtze River and creates the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains. It mainly focuses on sightseeing, viewing and resting, and reproduces the beautiful scenery of "Liuchuan Wanliu" in the park.
Entering Wanliu Park, you will enter a cool world. There are many neon lights in the garden, which emit a faint light in the night. Some neon lights are installed on the tree crown, reflecting the leaves light green and transparent, in those transparent green leaves flying many insects, they are happy, worry free; some are installed in the grass, the light will light the slender grass like surging waves, the high light is the back of the waves, the dark is the trough. The high and low neon lights are dotted with the night in Wanliu park. When you are in the park, you feel like you are in a fairyland. This feeling is not in the daytime. Along the curved path, we heard a few frogs not far ahead. My son quickly walked forward a few steps, and we stopped at the edge of the lake. On the Wanliu Lake in the night, the breeze wrinkled the water. Where the neon lights shine, there is a long color. Countless important ribbons are shining in the lake, which really increases my interest. Standing by the lake, I can't hear the frogs any more. It must be the footsteps of tourists. The sound of words startled the frogs and made them hide in the dark to listen to the sound. Nature is like this. People think that they are smart enough to appreciate the sound of frogs on a summer night as a kind of music. As frogs, why don't they listen to the sound of people's laughter and the ups and downs of words as a kind of music? Two different worlds, together in a garden, naturally add countless fun. Walking along the lake, those man-made rockeries are ferocious in the night. Maybe these stones from a foreign land are not willing to watch the night here, so they do something to vent their grievances.
