Xiaolaba Hutong
Located in the southeast of Xuanwu District. It starts from Dala Hutong in the West and ends at Yong'an Road in the south. This hutong is wide in the South and narrow in the north, which is like a trumpet, hence its name. In the West there is a big trumpet alley, so it is called a small trumpet alley.
Xiaolaba hutong is one of the narrowest hutongs in Beijing. Its middle section is only 62 cm long and can only be passed by one person. In the Qing Dynasty, Zhu Yixin's manuscript of Beijing's lanes and alleys was decorated with the elegant Title: "open the night Hutong in the Ming Dynasty". It is said that it is deep and hidden and hard to be recognized.
Dala Hutong, west of Xiaola Hutong, starts from Rongguang Hutong in the north and ends at Yong'an Road in the south. In the Republic of China, Dala Hutong was called Dalaba Hutong, while Xiaola Hutong was called xiaolaba Hutong.
