The official garden was first known as "melon garden" and "official vegetable garden". As time goes by, it has the name of "official garden".

Guanyuan park is a park with a wide range of green space. After reconstruction, it is now renamed Youth Palace. Without too much damage, the eastern part retains its original unique green space nature, so as to carry out large-scale transformation and upgrading. The lawn was increased and the green distribution area was expanded. Under the reasonable planning and adjustment, the artificial landscape and fitness equipment are integrated into the environment, forming a place for leisure and sightseeing.

brief introduction

The green space of Youth Palace was formerly known as Guanyuan park. In 1994, Beijing Municipal Government approved the construction of Youth Palace in the west, while the original green space nature was reserved in the East. In 2000, the reserved green space was transformed and improved on a large scale, and temporary buildings such as car sheds were demolished, which expanded the green area. Guoan Green Design Company re designed the green space, increased the lawn, adjusted the plant configuration, square, Garden Road and other game fitness facilities, highlighting the landscape effect. The municipal team of Xicheng garden Municipal Administration Bureau and the greening team of Germany are responsible for the pavement and greening construction of garden road respectively. The commencement date is May 2000 and the completion date is the end of September 2000. The green area reaches 1.6 hectares. There are 1179 trees, 12070m2 grass, 1000 hedges, 5200 color blocks, 3600M2 central square and garden road. Xicheng science and Technology Commission has also arranged popular science Gallery, sculpture, science and technology fitness and other facilities in the park, and regularly held some popular science activities, making it not only a good place for people's leisure and entertainment, but also a window for popularizing science and technology knowledge.
