Ma Jianglong Diaolou group

Majianglong watchtower group is composed of 7 watchtowers and 8 western style villas which are well preserved so far. Like a string of beads, they are scattered in the bamboo room of the ancient forest. They are integrated with the surrounding dwellings and natural environment. If you look at them from a high altitude, you may feel that they are heaven and earth. One of the most representative is Tianlu building, which was built by 29 villagers in 1925. The other 14 buildings were also built in the 1920s and 1930s, combined with the advanced western architectural technology, Chinese and western, beautiful, worthy of a shocking architectural art gallery.

Ma Jianglong Diaolou group

Located in the southeast of Baihe market, Baihe Town, Kaiping City and 15 km away from Kaiping City in the northeast, majianglong Diaolou group is composed of five natural villages: Yong'an, Nan'an, Hedong, Qinglin and Longjiang. It was built by Huang and Guan families in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. At present, there are 171 households with 506 villagers, 80% of whom are overseas Chinese. The number of overseas Chinese is more than that of domestic population, mainly distributed in the United States, Canada, Australia and other countries.

At that time, every evening, all the men of fund-raising households stayed in the building to prevent bandits from kidnapping; the sixth floor is for public activities, and the seventh floor is for Wangting. Looking around the building, the scenery is beautiful. According to records, three successive floods occurred in Kaiping in 1963, 1965 and 1968. The floods overtopped the roofs of the houses and the villagers were able to take refuge.
