North 2nd ring city park
Beierhuan city park is located in the section of Beierhuan from old Gulou Street to the south of Yonghegong bridge, covering an area of 54000 square meters. It is the narrowest City Park in Beijing. It is an east-west belt landscape green space.

The most prominent design concept of this urban park is the cultural restoration of the ancient city. The North 2nd ring city park is located near the central axis and coincides with the boundary of old Beijing. For the sake of coordination with the surrounding environment, the city park is two kilometers long and only 25 meters wide, just like a narrow green ribbon. After the completion of the park, Beijing's East 2nd Ring Road, North 2nd Ring Road and West 2nd Ring Road will form a complete urban green chain along the boundary line of the old city. The whole green park is designed and constructed in accordance with the traditional architectural methods, and the materials and construction techniques used in the houses all reflect the traditional style of Beijing dwellings. After completion, it will be reflected with the ancient Yonghe palace, highlighting the harmonious unity of urban parks and the historical features of the old city, further highlighting the charm of the ancient capital of Beijing.
Main attractions
On the south side of the park, there are 36 courtyards and single buildings, covering a total area of 6800 square meters. These ancient buildings include quadrangles, gatehouses, small temples, walls and so on. The top beams, columns and some bricks and tiles of many ancient buildings are left over from the demolition of old houses. The materials and construction techniques used in the houses all reflect the traditional style of Beijing dwellings in different periods and styles. These ancient buildings reflect the ancient Yonghe palace.
In the design and construction of the park, the green ecology and plant landscaping are highlighted to the maximum, the traces of artificial carving are reduced, and the effect of natural harmony is pursued as much as possible. 167 big trees are reserved in the park construction, which highlights the harmony between man and nature. And through the plant landscape to reflect the old Beijing culture. Along the boundary line of the old city, the park uses Chinese gardens to borrow and cover the scenery. Every 100 meters, the park uses closely planted cypresses to create the feeling of city stacks, and tries its best to pursue the effect of harmony between man and nature. In addition, 167 ancient trees are preserved in the park to reflect the old Beijing culture through plant landscaping, including jujube trees, Sophora japonica, toon trees, pomegranate trees and other ancient trees with Beijing flavor and Beijing charm, including a very peculiar persimmon tree and jujube tree. In the vicinity of Guozijian, Andingmen and the central axis, Pinus tabulaeformis community, flowers and trees and Sinan were used to create landscapes such as "guozichengxian", "Andingmen Xianghe" and "urban central axis".
